Remedy: The APIM software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 13, 2026. Owners may contact Ford Customer Service at 1-866-436-7332.

Ford is recalling certain 2012 Edge vehicles manufactured from September 2, 2010, through October 31, 2011, equipped with 2.0L engines. The fuel line pulse damper metal housing may crack as a result of an improper manufacturing process.

Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will repair the vehicles free of charge. The safety recall began on September 27, 2012. Owners may contact Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center at 1-866-436-7332.
