What we collect
CarLemons has no accounts and no forms that store personal information. To understand which pages are useful, we count page views with our own privacy-friendly statistics: a visit is identified by a one-way hash of your IP address, browser and the date, which cannot be reversed and changes every day. We do not set cookies for these statistics. Your IP address is used to look up a country and is not stored.
VIN decoder
When you decode a VIN, your browser sends it directly to the U.S. government's NHTSA services (vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov and api.nhtsa.gov) to retrieve vehicle details and recalls. CarLemons does not receive or store the VIN.
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA and UK will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Analytics
If we enable Google Analytics, it uses cookies to measure traffic; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
