I was rear ended while parked at a stop light, the force of the impact drove me into the vehicle in front of me. During the accident my seatbelt pretensioner failed to work at the same time my sun visor unexpectedly dropped down swung towards me and my head struck the edge of the visor which made a gash in my forehead down in between my eyes, there was blood visibly running down my nose at the scene of the accident. I went to the ER afterwards to seek medical attention. 3 days after the accident i suffered a seizure, i have no prior seizures before this incident. Since the accident i've continued to have headaches, signs of short term memory loss, and having trouble finding words sometimes.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. While driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle stalled and the check engine indicator illuminated. The contact stated that the moon roof failed to open or close and the doors failed to open. The contact had to use the window to exit the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (long-lewis Ford Lincoln, 2551 john hawkins pkwy, hoover, al 35244, [phone]) where it was diagnosed that the moon roof was off track and the throttle body needed to be replaced. The throttle body was repaired. The other failures were not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and did not assist. The failure mileage was 82,000. The VIN was not available.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. When the down button was depressed on the front driver's side window, the window failed to roll down. The contact also stated that the front driver's side door failed to open from the inside. The contact had to exit the vehicle from the front passenger side door. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 99,000. The VIN was unavailable.
I was driving in my neighborhood when the right passenger mirror exploded with a loud boom. The outside portions of the mirror were lying on the side of the road intact. The interior plastic was blown to several pieces. Had someone or something been on the right side of my car, they would certainly have been injured. This is not normal wear-and-tear on a car; this is a defect. It is apparently connected with the defrosting system. Ford assumes no responsibility.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. When the contact attempted to open the sun roof, it moved a quarter of an inch and failed to open. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000. The VIN was not available.
In cold/inclement weather, the wipers will not stay defrosted and will freeze to the windshield & not come on, or will not clean the windshield for enough visibility to see the road while driving which can cause a crash. This is due to the fact that the wipers sit too far below the defroster vents on the car. I let my car warm up for 15 mins on dec 12th and made sure they were clean before I got on the parkway. After being on the road 20 minutes & leaving my defroster on high, I turned my wipers on to clear the dirty water/slush thrown on my car by 18 wheelers. The wipers stuck again, and I ran off the side of the road by looking out the side windows to prevent an accident. I had to pry the wipers off the windshield because they had froze again. This is the third time this has happened to me. The other two times were in 2010. …
While driving our brand new Ford Fusion sedan se on the freeway around 2 pm. I was far away from cars and I don't drive near semi's or dump trucks I heard a noise in the windshield frame on the passenger side mid way up and then a horizontal crack approx 14 inches appeared. I got off the next exit and called our dealer immediately and they said bring into service dept 7 am next morning. The service dept looked at windshield and frame and stated it was a microscopic chip. We had to pay almost $400 for a new windshield and we still think it was a defective windshield. It was at approx 1,000 miles. It's interesting and concerning a friend of ours bought a Ford Fusion s at the same dealer over a month ago and after 2 weeks his windshield did the same thing. We'd appreciate you checking into this. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. While driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle decelerated abnormally. The contact stopped the vehicle and shifted into park as the vehicle began to shake vigorously and stalled. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics and stalled a second time on while in route. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure because the computer was not providing a failure code. The failure recurred three times. The third time, the vehicle was towed to the dealer and the technician advised that the computer was not reading a failure code but the electronic throttle body would likely have to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 43,000. Updated 03/02/12 the consumer stated the rear window, weather stripping on the doors, and door handles had to be replaced. …
I have a Ford Fusion with about 30000 miles. I first noticed a hard shift at 10K miles and thought maybe its just a simple fix. I took it in and they reprogrammed the transmission and the service supervisor said that this transmission adapts to the owners driving habits. Well 3K miles later its worse so I take it back and the tech said all the clutches were replaced and two other things were done! I have taken it back four more times and have not had it fixed. It appears that Ford admitted there was a problem with a transmission code that fixes the problem. However, the problem was not fixed and I am left with a vehicle that also had a window motor replaced, some pulleys that were making a whistling noise, and a battery and taillight that went out changed. I don't know if its a lemon, but I smell disaster in the next couple of years! …
Good day, I bought my car used back in 2011. I have never had any issues in the 3 years regarding the tinted windows. I have not had any work done on them while I owned the vehicle either. Last week the service station rejected an inspection sticker due to this issue. My windows are at a 27 and I was told that should be at a 35. I have been looking at cars today who's tinted windows do not look any different than mine at all. Why are some people allowed to get away with some things if its the law... And others do not? Please advise. Unfair treatment! The law is the law and I should not have to take a rejection when everyone else is driving around with the same tint. Did the law recently change? Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. [redacted]
