The vehicle was not diagnosed or repair by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000. The VIN was not available.
My back up camera is blue all time , I saw so many people have the same issue, ford need to publish a recall on 2016 ford fusion as well, they did a recall on other vehicles recently, but not on this 2016 ford fusion
I am fully aware that my vehicle has a recall for the backup camera. Manufacturer recall number 25SA9, NHTSA recall number 25v695. That was back on [redacted]. Almost a year ago. It would be super if I could use my backup camera. I really appreciate that feature in the store parking lot, backing out of my driveway on a busy road, and picking up and dropping off my child from school as there are kids and vehicles everywhere are a few examples. Yes, I look over my shoulder regardless, but that camera does help a lot especially around the little kids. I have had a few close calls because someone was directly behind me and I didn't see them. Had my backup camera been working like it should have that wouldn't happen. How has it been almost a year and they still don't have parts? I have already had a few other recalls on my car to deal with as it is, but this one is particularly frustrating. …
The rear backup camera system on my 2016 Ford Fusion S has failed and no longer displays an image when the vehicle is placed in reverse. The screen remains completely black and does not activate. The backup camera previously worked normally before this failure. The issue appears to be related to the backup camera or associated electrical/display system, and the component should be available for inspection upon request. This malfunction creates a safety risk because the backup camera is necessary to see obstacles, pedestrians, and other vehicles behind the car. Without a functioning backup camera, rear visibility is significantly reduced, increasing the risk of a collision, especially in parking lots and residential areas. The problem occurs every time the vehicle is placed in reverse. The issue has not yet been confirmed by a dealer or independent repair facility. …
I own a 2016 Ford Fusion affected by Safety Recall 25SA9 (NHTSA Recall 25V695) regarding the rearview camera. I took my vehicle to an authorized Ford dealership on June 25, 2026, to have the recall repaired. The dealership confirmed that the repair procedure is currently available only for Mustang vehicles and that no repair is available for my Fusion. The dealership documented this on the repair order. I also contacted Ford Customer Relations, and Ford confirmed there is currently no confirmed ETA for the recall remedy. I am fully willing to complete the recall immediately, but I cannot do so because the manufacturer has not made the repair available for this vehicle. I am submitting this complaint because the manufacturer has been unable to provide a timely remedy for this safety recall despite my attempt to have the repair completed. …
My vehicle has multiple active safety recalls that remain unrepaired. I have already contacted the dealership and attempted to have these issues addressed, but I have experienced delays and a lack of response. The front brake hose recall presents a serious safety risk, as it could rupture and cause a brake fluid leak, leading to reduced braking ability and increased stopping distance. Additionally, the rear view camera recall affects visibility when reversing, as the camera may display a blank or distorted image.I have already filed a complaint with NHTSA regarding these unresolved recalls. One of the recalls currently does not have a remedy available, and the other has not been completed despite my efforts to schedule repairs. These unresolved safety issues put me and others at risk, and I am concerned about the lack of timely action to correct them.
The backup camera is malfunctioning. I brought in the car to the McGovern ford dealership for repair, but they stated the remedy was not yet available. It's been over a year with a distorted image displayed on the screen, and it causes a huge distraction/confusion while reversing. It occasionally goes black, causing a dangerous situation while reversing in public areas. It began displaying a "repair needed, contact ford dealership" notification only after the camera had been distorted. This puts pedestrians/other vehicles at risk because it inaccurately displays where they are/ how close in proximity they are to my reversing vehicle. I have to turn my head to check my surroundings, but the distorted image displayed on the screen distracts/confuses the driver. It has been confirmed by the ford dealership.
The rear view camera on my 2016 Ford Fusion activates randomly while driving and displays blank or distorted images when the vehicle is in reverse. This is a known defect covered under Ford Recall 25SA9 / NHTSA 25v695, issued October 2025. I have contacted Koons Ford in Falls Church, VA multiple times requesting repair. The dealer stated the replacement part is only available for Mustangs. As of May 2026, Ford's own recall page confirms parts are still not available - over seven months after the recall was issued. I am driving daily with a malfunctioning safety system and no repair timeline. The camera issue creates a crash risk every time I reverse the vehicle.
My back-up camera only half works. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. My car also doesn't alert me to when I'm getting too close to another vehicle when I backing into a parking spot. Also, the Bluetooth in my car has not worked or even connect to my phone since I first bought that car, and for this car to not even be 10 years old yet, this is ridiculous. Everyone I know has been having very similar issues. Y'all need to get it together. Is there anyway this issue can be looked into as well please? It's be really nice to get to use all of my features I pay for. Love the car, hate this electrical bs.
The backup camera has been cutting out recently. Just yesterday, the backup camera is displaying an image that is reversed (object on the sidewalk side (right side) of the vehicle, show up on the street side (left side) of the screen). I can no longer use the backup camera, as it is designed. The dealer has a one-month backlog on appointments, but I am taking it to a non-dealership mechanic on Monday. You will notice in the picture attached, the black car shows up on the left side of the screen, and it's actually on the right side of the car.
