What owners report

I bought the vehicle new in November 2025. 2026 Toyota Tubdra TRD SR5. In the first week I noticed a lot of jerking and shaking. I brought it to the dealer and was told it was a break in period and it should go away. I've had the truck in the shop 5-6 times since and the jerking and shaking hasn't gone away. I'm at 6300 miles now. The dealer won't even respond to me anymore. The only way to make the jerking go away is to step on the gas pedal harder but this has become extremely dangerous because it's forcing me to go faster than I would like, especially in school zones. The dealers say that it's the truck running very low RPM's to maximize fuel efficiency and also because there are 10 gears but is that's the case than why isn't everyone experiencing it. It's worse on cold mornings (40 or below) but it's almost like the truck needs an hour or two to warm up. …

2026 Tundra · Nov 2025

My 2026 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro developed a sudden, loud knocking noise from the engine at approximately 15,000 miles while I was driving. The engine began running very rough, the vehicle started shaking, and the engine was losing power as I pulled over. The knocking was most noticeable at low RPM and followed engine RPM. There were no warning lights or warning messages before the problem occurred. I was able to safely pull the vehicle off the road, but the sudden loss of engine power and severe shaking created a safety concern. If the failure had occurred in heavier traffic or at highway speed, the loss of propulsion could have created a significant risk to me, my passengers, and other motorists. I stopped driving the vehicle because I was concerned about a complete engine failure. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Toyota dealership and is currently available for inspection. …

2025 Tundra · 34,000 miles · May 2026

I've noticed that my Toyota Tundra occasionally fails to start moving from a complete stop at a light or stop sign and hesitates. I've pressed the gas pedal all the way down, but it doesn't respond. It usually takes a second attempt before it will move from a stopped position. This first happened during my first week of owning the truck and has occurred a few more times since. I didn't think much of it at first, but it happened again while I was stopped on an incline in a right-turn yield lane. I released the brake, and when I pressed the gas pedal, nothing happened-the truck even felt like it was rolling backward. I floored the gas, and after a few seconds, it finally took off. I started looking online and found that many others have reported the same issue. …
