On multiple occasions, the transmission does not respond to gear changes such as moving from drive to reverse or park into drive. On those occasions, the D for drive would be blinking. More concerning and very dangerous is a lack of propulsion mid drive, the transmission would not go into gear. The engine would rev high, and it would not move forward, except by whatever momentum it originally had. This has happened to me on at least four occasions two of which I was in the left lane of three and four lane wide streets with cars passing me at high speed on the right. I needed to pull over turn the car off and then on again, which is the only way that the transmission would start working again. Sometimes the transmission would be jerky, especially after those incidents. …

The engine would randomly accelerate , rev and make a whining noise, slip into neutral and I would have to pull over and shut it off sometimes in an unsafe area. Occasionally when I would start the engine it would rev as though I had my foot on the gas and I would shut it back off. I was traveling on the highway approximately 70 mph and cancelled the cruise control to go around a curve and pressed on the gas to merge into 70 mph traffic on another highway, and nothing happened. When I got to the end of the ramp the car was going 32 mph with my foot to the floor on the gas panic stricken. Suddenly the gas engaged and I shot into the traffic trying to avoid me. I took the car home, parked it in the garage and called a local dealership for service explaining the problems I was having. I went to resume my trip in a friends car because I was frightened to drive mine. …

I am a victim of SUA (sudden unintended acceleration. I entered my driveway and had my foot on the brake petal. Before I could shift into Park, the vehicle revved to a high RPM and then took off like a rocket. Brakes were initially hard to press and then the petal went to the floor, and I lost the brakes. This all happened very quickly and took me by surprise. I crashed through a double cyclone gate, closed garage door, back of the garage, double fence in back of garage, neighbors jacuzie and shed, hit the side of another neighbor's house and AC unit. It seemed that the power train electronics malfunctioned and caused all of this. Progressive insurance took procession of the vehicle and declared it a total loss.
While driving the vehicle, several warning lights activated, the first being automatic emergency braking is disabled. The second warning light advised me to not turn the car off until I got to my destination. It further advised that I would not be able to shift gears. The vehicle began to slow down on its own until it came to a complete stop. I was in the middle of an intersection when this happened. The dashboard was displaying a message saying press brake and push button to start car. Nothing happened when I did that. I could not shift gears or get the vehicle to move at all. Even though, I was getting the message to push the button to start the vehicle, I believe the vehicle was actually on. I was stuck near the intersection for one hour with a tow truck on the way when I was finally able to turn the e vehicle off. …
