Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured February 11, 2004, through March 9, 2010; and 2006-2010 Jeep Commander vehicles manufactured January 31, 2005, through March 10, 2010.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will reflash the final drive controller which governs the transfer case, with new software, free of charge. The recall began on August 15, 2013.
Electrical system › Ignition › Module
Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2010 Chrysler 300, Dodge challenger, charger, Jeep commander, grand cherokee and Dodge Ram vehicles. These vehicles May have been built with a wireless ignition node (win) module exhibiting a binding condition of the solenoid latch.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the win module free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin on or before August 23, 2010. Owners May contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

Chrysler is recalling model year 2010 Jeep commander and grand cherokee vehicles. They May have been built with an improperly manufactured rear track bar.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the rear track bar bushing retaining hoop and replace the rear track bar if any are found to be mis-positioned. The safety recall is expected to begin during April 2010.

Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2010 Chrysler sebring; Dodge avenger and nitro; Jeep liberty, commander and grand cherokee; and model year 2009-2010 Dodge Ram truck. These vehicles May have been built with an improperly formed or missing brake booster input rod retaining clip.
Remedy: Chrysler will replace the brake booster input rod retaining clip free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during February 2010. Owners May contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2010 Jeep grand cherokee passenger vehicles manufactured from October 22 through November 12, 2009. The passenger side airbag May not properly deploy through the instrument panel tear seam.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the top cover of the instrument panel free of charge. The campaign is expected to begin in December 2009. Owners May contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

The contact owns a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while attempting to shut-off the vehicle, the vehicle remained on when the key was removed from the ignition. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and told the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 227,000.
Airbag light, with dinging sound, comes on multiple times a day, stays on for a few minutes and goes off. Battery is dead every tim I try to start my vehicle. When I shut off ignition, there is a series of loud clicks coming from the lower central instrument panel. The sound lasts for several minutes. It makes the same sound if I change the temperature on the dual climate control. Digital navigation system /radio doesn't work after shutting off vehicle and restarting it.

Driving 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee with HEMI engine on the freeway and the car lost engine power causing it to rapidly slow. Was able to make it safely to the side of the freeway, although multiple cars had to avoid, and had the car towed to our mechanic. The mechanic stated that the car needed an entire new engine as there were issues with the timing chain that then caused issues to the surrounding valves. In doing research, as this car only has 98,000 miles and is always serviced, I found that Chrysler has already recalled the Challengers with the same 5.7L HEMI engines, but has not done so for the 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee's. We are at a loss and looking at $8,000-$10,000 to get a new engine and pay for labor. Currently looking for an attorney or an existing class action lawsuit as if we knew there were problems, we would have done things ahead of time to prevent the engine failure. …
Takata recall vehicle will start intermittently getting worse, I have replaced the battery and the starter. My car will turn over on it's own if I leave my key in the start position to have the radio on without me touching the key or cranking it over. The vehicle also knocked its self out of park and hit into a building. I've had electrical issues since my purchase back in 2016 and I've had no answers to what the problems are. I owe 13,000 on my vehicle and I need help figuring out if it could be a recall or not.

During a snow storm on 11/26/2014 while 5 mo. Pregnant my car went off the highway into the middle median during the evening commute because the 4wd did not work.I changed from right lane to left lane at a speed of 30-35mph to allow space for oncoming merging traffic.when changing lanes I kept going left and could not stay on the traveled portion.I had to drive in reverse to get out over the plow bank and into the travel way.once home I could not make it up my 450ft long driveway and the rear end kept sliding out- the 4wd did not work. 5mo pregnant I could not shovel myself out and had to wait until thanksgiving morning for assistance,as a result the plow truck could not clean the driveway.went to the svc dept of my dealership.they informed me there was as software update correcting an issue with the n23 recall.I was about the 6-7 car with a similar issue. …
Sept 26, 2015 driving down the highway at about 65 MPH in cruise control, my Jeep just died. Would not start or turn over the engine light oil light and ect light came on. Turns out the timing chain broke damaged intake valve on #2 cylinder and exhaust valve on #8 cylinder. Had the heads inspected valves and timing chain replaced. And new spark plugs, it had 100565 miles on it. Picked it up from the shop on nov 13, 2015 ran perfectly no vibrations spark knock smooth.. Not even 200 miles on it and the same thing driving about 65 MPH in eco mode and it just died. The engine light traction control light and ect light and oil light came on. Pulled over on the should it would not start. Had it towed back to the shop.. The same thing timing chain broke and two cylinders have no compression. …
