I'm getting warning lights on the dash that indicated that ABS, traction control, cruise control and collision mitigation are inoperable. The dealership service dept. had the vehicle for over 2 weeks trying to diagnose the problem in conjunction with Ford engineers. they finally determined the the issue was a bad ABS module. They then informed me that the needed parts were not available and it might take 2weeks, 2months or longer to get. This condition has existed since the day the car was delivered. As of now, the car has about 600 miles on it. We're reluctant to drive the car because we feel the vehicle is unsafe, particularly in winter road conditions. We are at a loss as to how to proceed and are hoping you cab help us resolve this problem. Thank you, [redacted]
While driving at a slower speed between 20-40 mph the car will have a power surge as my mechanic called it. The RPMS constantly bounce while driving. It is hesitant to accelerate and is riding rough at a low speed. This is a risk while speeding up in traffic or merging onto the interstate the car is hesitant and can't keep up with traffic which could cause a bad wreck. I had my vehicle at my local mechanic yesterday. It goes to my local ford dealer for inspection next week and they also told me they've had multiple reports of this issues from people. I have no lights on, on my dash and my local mechanic checked all my fuses and they were all good. He hooked a code reader up and there were no codes that showed up. This issue started last week on my vehicle.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while accelerating, the vehicle jerked and went into low-power mode. While at a stop, the contact depressed the accelerator pedal, and the vehicle surged forward. After using the phone charger, the phone charger overheated. The contact unplugged the phones. The contact stated that the steering wheel was hot to the touch. There was an abnormal burning odor detected. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the failure was related to the turbo-eco boost and engine. The sensors, valves, brackets, and hoses were replaced, but the failure recurred. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 44,000.
IN feb 2022 my dash produced a pre-collision assist not avaible and also a adaptive cruise not available sensor blocked see manual. when i tried to tap the button for cruise control it would show set speed , but wouldn't let me . i called ricart ford in ohio and took it to them . they said it was the cruise control manual bracket had been damaged by outside force( a rock) and ford wouldn't fix it. Mind you I have never hit anything with this vehicle. Ricart refused todo anything so i contacted ford and they said take it to a different dealership . Took it to donley inohio they said a bird. Now the screen gltiches, the front camera doesn't work , the hatch will open and shut multiple times and when shutting the moon roof it will stop and go back . Then it made a sound and sounded like the gearbox, also car alarm went off , while running in park , nothing touching keys. …
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated while parking the vehicle and the vehicle accelerated without any warning, causing the vehicle to strike the building in front. Have had issues from day one. Lane centering hugs middle line, back up camera is black at times, when in drive screen is blank, all tools on steering have went out including turn signals, cruse control, collision avoidance flashes when no one is in front of me, brakes due to collision avoidance malfunction etc. in November 2021 car was in park ( know that for sure it was in park and not moving as fed ex came for delivery and walked around back of car to get package before accident) and rolled to front pinning me and breaking pelvis and back. During this incident the safety failed in park, anti collie on failed, 9 days in hospital and months of rehab. Again coming back from doctor lost steering controls. …
My car Continuously jerks while driving. It's like stuttering, I am afraid it will not pick up speed one day while driving and making turns. This is a scary and safety issue as I do not want to be in a position of making a turn and getting hit. I know that I am not the only one complaining about this issue. Please look into all complaints and rectify this problem. Thank you. Sincerely [redacted] .
In 2019 Ford removed the Low gear option from the shifter dial. Customers were forced to manually shift using paddle shifters to access engine braking in steep grade situations. Current Ford TCM programming for 2019 and newer vehicles skips from first to third gear at 4mph, 900-1000 rpm, providing no engine braking ability in speeds below 25 mph when using paddle shifters. My vehicle manual states "SelectShift does not automatically upshift, even if the engine is approaching the RPM limit, unless the accelerator pedal is at full travel." Despite contradictions to how the Ford owners manual says my car should operate, the dealership says it's working as intended. …
