I have a 2013 ford edge and I was driving at 40=45 mph and when I came up to a light the brake peddle went to the floor and was very hard to stop. The result was me having to leave the road to the right to avoid a collision. I took it to ford who stated it needed a brake booster and said my vehicle doesn't qualify for an extended warranty on the booster. Car had 88k miles at time of incident.prior to the incident no lights or signs. After this I hear a loud hissing noise from under dash.

To whom it may concern, I urgently report a critical safety issue with my 2013 Ford Edge that poses significant risks to driver and passenger safety. The door locking mechanism has malfunctioned, making it unresponsive to any switches inside or outside the vehicle. This prevents access or swift exit during emergencies, jeopardizing lives. Despite the door being securely closed, a false warning light indicates that the door is ajar. Opening the door from inside has become difficult due to a faulty interior handle, and the auto-locking system engages immediately upon manual opening, hindering quick exit. This issue has been reported on forums, and it appears that some dealerships are aware of the problem; however, the fix is reported to be costly. Such safety concerns demand immediate attention to avoid potential accidents and injuries. …

I currently have an few issues to report. When I press on the brakes, they make an air whistling sound and there's nothing noticeably wrong with them. I'm also having problems with electrical on my screen and it won't always connect with my phone and it also delays on the screen when it's powering on or off. My tires have been leaking air since I purchased my vehicleand when I took it in, they said Ford mechanics said they sealed the valves but right when I got it back, it gave me a warning that I had low air pressure in my tires once again and my vehicle tires appeared like they were still low on air. I constantly have to fill them with air when I drive it. Every day they leak. But my biggest concern is the electrical and the brakes. I don't know the exact date on when the electrical started acting up. …

The driver side passenger "door ajar" sensor stays on constantly and is unsafe because we aren't sure if the door is truly open or not? We are scared to have passengers sit on that side of the vehicle for fear of the door flying open and causing injury by falling out or other injury because the sensor does not tell us accurately as to whether the door is truly closed all the way or not. It also drains the battery over time due to constantly being on. This problem has been going on for 2 years. We had it looked at by a mechanic. We were told they can replace the sensor, but it would likely go out again because this is a manufacturer defect, and a well known problem for Ford Edges as well as other Ford models, but they refuse to issue a recall. This is EXTREMELY UNSAFE. The other safety concern I have is the need for a recall on our VIN SPECIFIC rear view camera. …

1. My safety system/camera system is no longer working properly. The screen displays either a black/blank screen, an inverted (upside down) image, or an image that appears to be zoomed in to a very small viewing area. The alerts (beeping) does not function consistently when backing up. The horn does not always work. At times the entire electrical display including the sound system will reset without prompting. The back door hatch will actively close even when there is something in the opening. 2. Safety is at risk because the video system is in place as a secondary alert system to prevent accident or injury. The horn is a necessary item. If the electrical system should reset during operation this could cause an accident. The rear hatch could cause injury if it does close. 3. …

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle or driving at various speeds, the door ajar warning light illuminated the rear passenger's side door on multiple occasions. The contact stated that after closing the door, an audible alarm was heard, and the door ajar warning light remained illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the interior light remained illuminated after the vehicle was turned off, leading to the battery being drained. An independent mechanic went to the residence to replace the battery. The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer and the rear passenger's side door latch was replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The door ajar alarm and warning light was illuminated for the rear passenger's door and later caused the battery to drain again. …

i have ran my VIN on multiple site and the dealership said the did their inspection on the vehicle. The VIN is showing that there is no recalls on this car. However we noticed things going wrong with the Edge. Even though we bought the car as is, this shouldn't be happening if they did things right. The back up camera saying to contact the dealership, we have to go into the settings and switch from park to drive to somewhat fix the problem. The sync and myford touch has been update as of last week, to 3.10. However the system will switch songs, inputs and even go into the settings while the vehicle is on; without anyone touching the screen. The dealership has told me that they put in a new battery and that everything is fine when we bought it. …
