I have been having issues with headlights on my vehicle for awhile. We have changed the bulbs several times to try to make it easier to see. The headlights barely light up the street in front of you and is very dangerous to drive like this. I looked up online and apparently I am not the only one that is complaining of the issue. This is extremely unsafe and I'm afraid to drive anywhere at night due to poor lighting. I see people changed bulbs and changed entire headlights costing $300.00 or more a light and the problem is still not resolved. I am very concerned for not only myself and my familie's safety, I am concerned for others safety too. Something needs to be corrected in these vehicles. It is an extremely important part of driving - being able to see in front of you. Please advise.
Entire panel system shuts down when driving at various times. Non-functioning lights, speedometer, and warning systems. Entire panel across Ford Edge goes black. Driving at night and the entire cabin and headlamps shut off immediately. No hazard lights. Ford stated my vehicle is not recalled due to being manufactured at another plant from other recalls of the same year, model and make. Vehicle has less than 28,000 as of this date. Available for inspection immediately.
Driving on the highway at night when suddenly the door alarm rings, dome light turned on causing driver to lose focus/control. Was driving at 60mph when the sensor faulted. The alarm/notification turns on at random times causing the vehicle to have the light stay on and drain battery. This is causing the driver unsure if the door is properly closed and risking the door opening in case of an accident. Problem has persisted.
The tailight bulbs are melting the plastic around the lights. This hss been an issue for me and millions of other drivers who own 2013 Ford Edges. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/9037-burntmelted-taillight-bulbssockets/
Due to the door latch issue and my interior light staying on I am unable to see at night when driving. It has caused issues with my battery and I have had to replace it a few times. Why isn't Ford recalling this?
I have several different things going on. First of all my rear turn signals do not work, nor do my rear hazard lights. I've taken it to a mechanic who has extensively looked at this and has determined that it's the body control modular and is suggested replacement. I have been waiting for several months for this part to come in but he keeps telling me it's on back order. Also, my radiator fan/assembly went bad and had to be replaced. Upon the mechanic installing the new fan assembly, I had numerous fuses blown and that is when my blinker and hazard light issue started. This is a major safety concern as signaling the direction that you're turning is very important to other drivers. Additionally, it is against the law not to use signals. I'm constantly in fear that someone is going to rear in me because of my inability to signal when switching lanes and or turning. …
My interior lighting stays on when I am in reverse because the drivers door ajar is always on, I almost hit my neighbor and cliped his dog because it is impossible to see out the back window when backing while the interior lights are on. This is a huge safety problem. I have filed on this before but now it has become a real problem. What if I had hit my neighbor? Safety issue.
We were involved in a four car crash. We were the third car. The traffic was a little heavy and stop and go. The two cars in front of us stopped fast and we did too. Then we looked in the rear view mirror and saw a Honda odyssey coming at us at about 35-40 MPH. The driver slammed into the rear of our car. The car started on fire as soon as we were hit. I was in the passenger seat and I could see the flames and smoke coming out of the car. My husband jumped out of the car and I couldn't open my door. My husband then hit the unlock button on his side and then came around to the passenger side and got me out of the car. I was crying and terrified. A business man came from across the street and tried to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher. He had to return back to his business and our new car was still on fire. The police and fire department came and put out the fire. …
