The contact owns a 2021 Dodge Durango. While the contact's wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the daytime running lights became inoperable. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was alerted to the failure by another driver. The contact also confirmed the failure when the vehicle was pulled into the driveway at the residence. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the running lights had failed and needed to be replaced. The mechanic referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000. The VIN was not available.
Driving in a rainy day on my way from work home, my wipers stopped working. I took it to an auto mechanic and he told me that wiper motor was good and also was the wiper switch. The problem was with the totally integrated power module (TIPM ) . So I could not drive my vehicle when it rains. And the dealership states that I had to purchase the entire fuse module under the hood. So I had no choice but to purchase this item which the dealer charge me $480 plus tax.
Tl* the contact owns a 2018 Dodge Durango. While driving in the rain, the sun roof and windshield leaked. The leaks caused the vehicle to shut off in the middle of a parking lot since the star connector was affected. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and repaired, but the parts that were replaced were unknown. The contact stated that the failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic. Sealant was placed in the leak areas; however, after heavy rain, the vehicle shut off again due to water entering the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired for the most recent failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened, which was assigned to a case manger. An unknown local dealer called the contact and stated that, per the manufacturer, the windshield needed to be replaced in order to repair the vehicle. …
I bought a 2018 Durango from Dodge in April or May 2019 supposedly "new". Its had 2995 miles on it from them joyriding in it through town. It has been in an accident and they didn't disclose it but charged me brand new price. 6 months after purchasing the windshield starts cracking on the side where it gets glued on to the vehicle due to weather change. Of course since the dealership changed hands magically there is nothing they will do and I contacted Dodge and they refuse to help me. This crack is not due from a rock or anything I did it showed up over night.
Loss of windshield defrosting and dash air vents - systems and devices intended to provide or maintain the operator's ability to see the roadway severe cabin temperature hazards. Resulting in loss of ability to maintain driver's ability to see roadway during rainy/foggy/cold conditions. Dash air vents result in severe cabin temperature hazards in heat higher temperatures. No warning lights or messages or symptoms before, air flow just stops and not having air flow is sign of problem. Vehicle was taken to both dealership service center and independent service center after issue returned.
With the electrical system, the vehicle's rear lighting allows for water intrusion and causing the lighting to short out. An example can be found at the following URL: https://www.dodgedurango.net/threads/this-effing-tail-light.78983/ . This issue costs between $1100-$2000 to fix and requires a whole new rear tail panel. For the visibility/wipers, when the driver attempts to clean the windshield using windshield wiper fluid the windshield wiper fluid line disconnects itself causing the driver to have to come to a stop and re-connect the line.
The Blinker arm at the steering wheel has broken internally to where its useless taking my high beams, turn signals, wipers and everything else they put on it to not function properly. When I asked the dealership for a repair quote I was told the part is on back order due to high demand. When I looked at third party dealers the same issues no one has this part. I could see if this was a older car but if their blinker arm is breaking so much they can't keep a part in stock or tell you when it van be available should a safety concern. Also their design makes the blinker arm replacement 850 for part and 600 for labor. This shows poor design and poor craftsmanship in their parts
While driving at highway speed without warning multiple error messages were displayed followed by instrument cluster shutting off completely. Windshield wipers started without command. Turn signals and lights would not work. Functions slowly started to return however traction control remained disabled.
