On May 7, 2021, I was informed by Champion Dodge in Indianapolis, Indiana that a water intrusion point was discovered on my new Dodge Durango. The service department determined that the antenna had a faulty antenna gasket causing water to get into the vehicle through the antenna since I purchased it in September 2019. To date, my vehicle has been in the shop for about 70 days, always returned to me as "unable to duplicate" after the vehicle accelerating by itself, the LED panel malfunctioning repeatedly, the highlights coming on by themselves, and the instrument panel going out multiple times and the backup camera not engaging just to name a few problems I've had. All this Dodge dealer did with this major discovery was to replace the antenna and return the vehicle to me as safe. …
on May13th I was slowly pulling into my garage : as I was slowly easing my foot off the brake (but still in contact with the brake pedal), the car suddenly accelerated. I pressed my foot hard on the brake but was unable to stop the car. It was traveling very slowly with only about 5 feet to go when it suddenly accelerated. It struck the water heater which is situated against the rear wall of the garage with enough force to make my neck and shoulders hurt. There was a rubber trash can in front of the heater that may have absorbed some impact. There was a dent in the bumper. Inside the house, on the other side of the wall, the paint and plaster were cracked and somewhat displaced and a bureau pushed away from the wall. This acceleration happened without any warning. This also happened to my 2015 Dodge Durango in Feb 2019. …
While driving on the highway, the computer system shut down and all screens went black. The car still drove but none of the controls worked anymore. We could not roll the windows down or turn the fans or a/c on and it was summer so the interior of the car immediately became unbearably hot. We pulled over as soon as it was safe to do so and turned the car off and back on. The system came on partially and we were only able to open the sunroof and roll the rear windows down half way before it stopped working again. We tried cycling the car on and off several more times but the computer system and all controls remained unresponsive and the screens black. The door locks did not work either so we couldn't secure the vehicle. It was Sunday so no dodge dealerships were open. …
I bought my car with 50,000 miles. I didn't even have 55,000 and my car started have electrical issues with the speedometer, my dashboard started glitching with all the lights including an A with exclamation mark. I took it to the Dodge dealership in Huntsville and said they couldn't do anything about it since the recall seemed to be repair but they couldn't clear the code. My truck has had the same issue with the recall. My car was never repaired from the recall. My vehicle is dangerous to drive on the freeway as I will get this code a! And the speed will automatically drop. I really need help as this recall was never resolved on my car
When driving on the freeway I went to accelerate the car then begin to accelerate by itself even when I was hitting the brakes it would not slow down. Finally after a few seconds it slowed down. About a week after that started feeling like the transmission was having issues. Now I cannot drive my car. And this happened about three times with the acceleration of the car doing that by itself.
