What owners report
The contact owns a 2025 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving at various speeds or while coming to a complete stop, the vehicle occasionally stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that during the failure the contact had to restart the vehicle to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the fuel canister and the radio were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 28.
The ACC will just turn off without warning. A yellow warning light turns on to signal driver it is not operational. This has happened many times. The warning light also occurs when the system is NOT turned on. The FCC warning comes on intermittently and states like the ACC service immediately. Both of the systems are meant to be safety features however it recommended that the driver pull over turn off the vehicle and restart to restart or reboot the system. Our safety and the safety of others has been put at risk when the system turns off without warning especially when we are driving in heavier traffic areas like when we go to SC to visit family. Terribly hazardous and anxiety inducing. Not at all reliable. The systems warning lamps and failure have been concurrent and began shortly after the vehicle was purchased in March. …
2024 Dodge Durango (SXT Plus, GT Plus, RT trims) Update to my prior complaint regarding a dangerous shifter defect. Defect Description: While driving and pressing the accelerator (no brake, no shifter button pressed), the transmission shifts into Neutral without warning. The vehicle loses propulsion. The instrument cluster does not display or warn that it is in Neutral - no chime, no message, no clear gear indicator. This matches NHTSA Recall 26V262000 (FCA 39D), where the instrument panel fails to show gear selection in other 2024-2025 Stellantis vehicles. Widespread Issue: I have replicated this multiple times on my SXT Plus, a GT, and RT models. Other owners in Durango groups report the same. This is a systemic defect across Dodge Durango trims and likely the broader Stellantis/Chrysler/Mopar lineup. Related Lawsuit: This also appears connected to the class action [redacted] et al. …
The contact owns a 2024 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the front navigational screen and the back over prevention camera blacked out intermittently. The sensors failed to inform the driver when an object or person was close to the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times. The dealer determined that the radio telemetric gateway module and the electrical system had failed. The vehicle was repaired twice but the failure persisted. The vehicle was returned to the dealer, and it was diagnosed and determined that the same part had failed and needed to be replaced a third time. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
I am submitting this complaint regarding recurring safety-related defects on my 2023 Dodge Durango RT. 1.Uconnect Failure: The Uconnect infotainment/communication box has repeatedly failed, causing loss of access to critical vehicle functions. These failures affect visibility of system warnings, navigation, and driver settings, creating distraction and limiting awareness. 2.Driver-Side Daytime Running Light (DRL) Failure: At just 40,000 miles, the driver-side DRL failed. This significantly reduces vehicle visibility to other drivers during the day, creating a safety hazard. What raises my concern further is that I have personally identified at well over 10 other Dodge Durangos in my local area experiencing the same daytime running light issue. This strongly suggests a widespread defect. Both failures directly impact vehicle safety. …
That slow speeds when you back up or pull forward and the wheels hit a little bit of resistance, everything goes off on the vehicle, wipers do not work, says the adaptive traction control needs service, it says emergency braking service goes out, turn signals do not work, we have been to Dodge. They say they know about this, but there's no recalls and they tell us they cannot fix it unless it has an active code and as soon as you cut it off, apparently it's not an active code, although they're still stored in the system we have a video of showing what happens when it does it Sometimes when we just start the car, it will not even go into gear and every hazard light pops up on the dashboard, again wipers will not work, will not go into gear says the traction control is not working. Breaking system is not working, etc.. …
After about 3mins of driving my vehicle I started to smell burning plastic, a couple seconds later I saw a view black squiggly lines which was smoke which made me look around. At that point I saw the USB port engulfed in flames. As I was driving I panicked and pulled over on the side of the road and looked for something to put the fire out. I thankfully had a bottle of water in my vehicle which I was able to pour over the fire to put it out. I didn't know what to do after that as there was no available Chrysler dealership in the area I was in so I went to Firestone and asked if someone could help me because I was scared to drive it not knowing if it would ignite again and my route home requires me to get on the freeway and didn't want to risk something happening on the freeway. …
My driver side front LED turn signal has failed after 42,890 miles. My safety and others safety is affected as my drivers side front LED turn signal is no longer functioning which makes it hard for others to know I'm turning left. The turn signal has stopped functioning on Monday, Aug 25th 2025 resulting in it not functioning since. Warning light shows on dashboard in "stored messages" on instrument cluster (pics and video of both can be provided). The vehicle has not been inspected by the dealership or anyone else yet. The vehicle is scheduled to go into the shop late September for brakes (will have them look at code for led turn signal being out). Reading over my extended warranty from the manufacturer and asking a representative; they informed me that the replacement of a headlight assembly was not covered under warranty, but gave no proper explanation why. …
