What owners report
The brake rotors on my 2023 Chrysler 300C failed prematurely at 25,000 miles. The vehicle is equipped with a factory-installed Brembo four-piston high-performance brake system. The failure presented as brake pedal pulsation and vibration during normal stopping, consistent with warped rotors, which reduces braking effectiveness and control and poses a risk in any situation requiring emergency braking. No warning lamps or messages appeared prior to the failure. The issue was confirmed by my authorized Chrysler dealership, however warranty coverage was denied and the failure was classified as wear and tear. This complaint is consistent with NHTSA Complaint ID Number 11661039, filed May 14, 2025, which documents an identical failure on a Chrysler 300 equipped with the same factory Brembo brake system, with rotor warping reported at just 5,260 miles under normal driving conditions. …
I purchased the Chrysler 300 touring of May 23, 2023. This was suppose to be brand new. After, a week, the car was having issues in the steering and I had too report the car dealership because they were giving me a hard time but finally, after, reaching out to corporate, the car dealership, fixed the steering and added an addition warranty. Now, there's something going on with the tire pressure. The tire pressure for this car shouldn't be at 28,29,30 and 31. So, now, every time, I have a local tire place to check the tire pressure, the air continuously lose pressure. So, today on Dec 12, 2024, in order to stop, my brakes went all the way down to the floor and that's not normal. So, there's something wrong with the brake lines. I've been having issues with this supposedly be brand new car since purchase. …
The contact owns a 2019 Chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving at 55 MPH on a curvy road, the steering wheel locked inadvertently. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated he was unable to steer the vehicle. Additionally, the vehicle failed to respond while depressing the brake pedal and hit a road sign. The air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that he turned off and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to an auto body repair shop. The contact sustained bruises and soreness on the right hand, but did not seek medical assistance. A police report was filed. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000. The VIN was not available.
This has happened a few times. First , I started my car, after being driven for awhile, then it immediately shutoff and the abs system, traction control, emergency brake, and other lights lit up on my dash and showed in messages "service power steering," "service abs system," and "service electronic stability control." Meanwhile, my power steering goes out, brakes, and air conditioning stop working with all the lights on my dash lit. Then, when you park and turn it off, it won't start again. Doesn't even try to start. This also has happened while driving and I had no choice, but to drive it or be stuck an hour from home at 1am. This not only puts others in danger, but myself with no brakes and power steering.
Tl* the contact owns a 2018 Chrysler 300. While driving 35 MPH, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the ABS malfunctioned and the brake pedal pulsated. As a result, the contact crashed into the rear of another vehicle. Prior to the crash, the back-up camera failed and it was difficult to start the vehicle. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The contact sustained a minor injury to the shin bone from the air bag deployment. Medical attention was not received. The contact stated that a Chrysler representative inspected the vehicle's data recorder, but was unable to retrieve a failure report. Naples Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (located at 6381 airport-pulling rd, naples, fl 34109, [phone]) was contacted, but there was no response. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and issued case number: cair35003857. The approximate failure mileage was 290.
Adaptive cruise control frequently fails to work as designed. Vehicle will frequently fail to detect vehicles (in all conditions, and all different types of vehicles) in front of it and not only fail to slow or stop, but instead accelerates. This has required manual braking multiple times to try and stop in time. Additionally the adaptive cruise fails to recognize cars in its lane and will randomly panic brake when there is no vehicle in the lane, it appears picking up a vehicle in the next lane over. This occurs on straight roads as well as curved, with flat as well as varied elevation. Lastly, vehicle threw 3 codes for transmission sensors as well as EGR (u0402, u0402pd, and p1dd2) while casually driving. This caused the check engine light to come on as well as vehicle to go into limp mode. This caused a dangerous incident while trying to pass a vehicle. …
Over the last month I noticed that my brakes would feel funny sometimes, like they were going to just grab suddenly vs stopping slowly. Then yesterday, 2/27/24, I received a warning that my ESC and ABS systems needed service and that I no longer had AWD capability. The message would stay on for several minutes, then shut off for several minutes, then come back on again.
Rotors are warped per maintenance check which I believe is from the emergency breaking. 43400 miles from leisurely driving and brake pads are still good. When I'm driving downhill and apply breaks, car starts to vibrate. Then at times of high speed of 70-75 the blind spot warning light comes on and the side sensors stay on until I come to a complete stop.
