Desiccated Air Bag Inflator Rupture

NHTSA investigation EA21002 · opened Sep 17, 2021 · open

From 2000 through 2017, Takata produced millions of air bag inflators using two types of phase-stabilized ammonium nitrate ("PSAN") propellant -- propellant 2004 and propellant 2004L. After prolonged exposure to high temperature cycles and humidity, inflators using propellant 2004 can degrade, causing the propellant to burn too quickly when ignited.

Electrical system all 119 →

I have had the vehicle towed 6 times, the vehicle goes completely dead, with new battery, once the vehicle sits for a half a day there is no power to start the car. I have talked to several other people and have had similar problems. I had car towed to Chrysler dealer ship and they said they did not want to work on it? There should be a recall, I have had many Chrysler vehicles but never this type of problem with the electrical. If you park my car on Friday when I get off work, by Monday morning it is completely dead. I have had the vehicle to two local car repair and electrical shops to no avail. (both shop owners said this is a Chrysler manufacture problem) I can be reached at [redacted].
