One Lincoln mkz SUV, Honda SUV, and a Ford f-150. Skid marks were left indicating the vehicle was not slowing down. No personal injuries, but several thousand of dollars in property damage. 2006 Chrysler 300. Bought this car for my 16 year old daughter to drive. The car starting stumbling and stalling at random times, and speeds, once while driving at 80 MPH the rpms dropped to 0 and the check engine light flashed; it always just flashes. Then just as fast as the rpms dropped to zero it came right back up. The car jumped forward like I floored the peddle. I have managed to capture this on video, because it went on acting this way for several miles. Then it was fine for about another 150 miles. Then. It returned. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times and they say no codes no problem, the forth time it happened I got a code u0100 and p0700. With my scan tool but again dealer says they cant find anything wrong and there is no codes. When asked how was the check engine light on if there were no codes. The answer was they did not know. This problem still is present to this day. …
Vehicle was parked in garage. Had been driven home at 11:30p.m. And woke up to fire in the garage at 1a.m. Entire home and contents were lost. We had to jump from 2nd story windows to escape our home. Fire department and fire marshals felt that fire began in the garage and found it undetermined, but told us that they felt strongly that it was the vehicle. We contacted our insurance company with info we found online that stated the braking problem was being recalled. They stated that they had no information to pursue. Car was also a total loss. Is there anything more we can do to find out why this recall #06V149000 was never sent to us? Had we known we would have parked the vehicle away from our home!!!! And would have gladly taken it in for repair that was needed. [redacted]
Dt*: the contact stated while applying brake pressure at 30 MPH on a wet road, there was an increased stopping distance and a loss of vehicle control without warning. The vehicle left the roadway and descended down an embankment. No injuries were sustained, but the vehicle sustained minor damage. The police were alerted, and a report was taken. The vehicle was towed to a dealer who was unable to duplicate the problem. Additionally, there was a NHTSA recall; #06V149000 performed on the vehicle concerning the brakes however, the recall did not remedy the problem. The decreased braking force and increased stopping distance continued to persist. The manufacturer was alerted.
When the transmission is cold the vehicle stalls having no control over forward or reverse motion with dangerous side bound traffic instances while refusing to shift with RWD rear axel severe vibration sensitivity causing total RWD rear axel power loss & coiciding transmission abnormalities. Powertrain malfunctions/dysfunctions resulting in a dangerously faulty suspensions stability & braking pressure strength causing pull in passenger side direction where vehicle seems dangerously the weakest & exhaust fumes abnormally recycling into vehicle cab system. Only has 140K original miles. Manufacture defects now becoming death trap & safety disaster to potential lives of others.
This is the second time I've had to pay to replace the ABS hub (complete axle) due to rust/rotting. When the ABS ring rust or rots, the ABS module becomes confused and activates intermittently. I was driving the vehicle and the brakes locked intermittently causing a very dangerous situation. I stopped thinking that it would reset something but it happened again. I had to take it to a repair shop once again and now I've had to pay over $1,000 for the rear axles and now $1,000 for the front. Axles have to be replaced each time. These rings should not simply rot and cause a dangerous situation!
Brakes failed at a low rate of speed under 10 MPH. Brake malfunction light illuminated and brake pedal became hard. Brakes subsequently failed, causing vehicle to not slow down, causing a crash. They're are recalls for this perticular vehicle year make and model in regards to all of the criteria that meets the recall and the reason for complaint. Brakes are intermittently failing, brake malfunction blinking on and off. Car unsafe to drive. Voice activation alerted driver to brake failure seconds before brakes failed just seconds prior to impact due to not being able to stop.
Takata recall , security system shuts down car I was at the gas station and the security system shut the whole car down as well as the and a ignition repair the car blocked the remote key from starting it and just would not click when turning the key would not crank, lights stop coming on the only thing it would do is chime when the driver door was open and this happen to me on the way home from work on the high way , breaks when applying the emergency break the car still this happened when I parked in the drive way and the drive way is a little slope moves
On my way to work I stopped and put $15 dolalrs in the tank I was just below a half tank now. I drove roughly 5-10miles and when I was driving around 30mph the oil can light came on and then my steering got tight and brakes got tight. It was like they went out. My car engine then shut off and I coasted to the shoulder the best I could. This almost caused a large accident. I tried starting the car immediately after it made noise but would not start a couple minutes later I started it and the car started fine.
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. While driving approximately 40 MPH, the steering wheel seized and the brake pedal failed to engage without warning. The vehicle stopped independently. The vehicle was towed to the dealer on several occasions; however, the failure was unable to be determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 140,000.
