What owners report
I was in a "at fault" accident in Sept 2020 in my new car because the instrument panel failed to stay on started glitching while on the freeway hit tire in the road. Car insurance went up because of the points against my record. The Chrysler Corp has a recall on the same make and model but not my VIN number. My car is experiencing the same problems as the recall. I need the insurance company to remove the points and sue Chrysler for this accident that was very dangerous. I have videos of the car still glitching while Im driving for a few seconds to a few minutes at a time. Driving at night with the instrument panel glitching is very dangerous and I need help.
It is obvious that this 2019 Chrysler 300 has the defects that a recall was issued by the NHSTA about. My electrical systems have malfunctioned multiple times causing the vehicle to lock up and die in traffic. The power steering would go out. The car wouldn't want to shift. Anything and everything that could read information out wrong was going off. The check engine light. The brake system. Transmission. Etc. just everything was lit up on the dash. The car would lock and unlock on its own. The windshield wipers would come on and turn off by themselves. The transmission is electric too, and it would want to lock up when you tried to shift it to park. This car has truly been a nightmare for me. I was the second owner. It was sold to me by Crain Ford of Little Rock. I was never told anything about any recall.
The vehicle's LCD screen has become delaminated which causes the control of the radio, air conditioning, heat, navigation, and other features controlled by the "radio" portion of the car to become dysfunctional. The car will randomly beep, change air temperatures, start/stop navigation, cause the loss of hands-free communication. This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to attend to the incessant beeping, (which doesn't go off even if the power to the unit is shut off) and issues related to AC/heat, navigation or radio (volume, etc.). Winters here are brutal, heat and defrost are required to not die from frost bite, or visual impairment. This appears from Chrysler Forums to be an issue among a large group of Chrysler 300 Year Model 2018 owners. I am encouraging them to file a concern with your group and to ask for a recall of the car for this reason.

The vehicle components started failing first with lighting and electrical malfunctions. Due to the concerns I was on the way to the mechanic on 9/16/23 when the air bags deployed on the passengers side without any impact. The Vehicle is at Chrysler dealer on central avenue Albany, NY and available for inspection. I had just dropped off my grandchildren this could have severely had a horrible impact had they been in car. Not to mention it scared me, I was not sure what was happening. I was scared to get back in the car. I was driving on interstate this is scary for anyone driving with no visibility. Chrysler currently has the vehicle since 9/19/23. I have reached out to dealer and Chrysler Corporate office with no result. They always say they will get back to me. Unless I reach out they do not respond. Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Chrysler 300. While driving unknown speeds with the high beam headlights activated, the lights failed to work when the outside temperature was five degrees below. The vehicle was taken to mike motors in ely (908 e sheridan st, ely, mn 55731) where it was diagnosed that there was no remedy. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and opened case number: [redacted]. No further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 12,074.
I noticed one of the headlights wasn't working while the vehicle was running & parked. The next day when I turned on my bright lights all of the lights failed, including the rear lights. This happened after dark while driving so I'm lucky to have not been involved in an accident! From then on the automatic headlights would not work. To get any lights to come on I had to turn the knob and random lights would work. The next day, only the fog lights worked with no rear lights other than when braking. 2 days later, all the lights work except the 2 headlights! Craziest thing ever!
Running headlights are too bright. Since the purchse of this vehicle I am constantly having other drivers flick their headlights on at me to inform me my bright lights are on, which they are not! I just had an incident last night, a driver in front of me thought I was running my bright lights on, the driver pulled off the road and got behind me with their bright lights on as a way of letting me know, this driver was approx 10 inches off of my bumper doing 50 MPH. Please offer a dimmer bulb. This issue will insue "road rage" from other drivers!
