I applied the brakes got push back the tevving increased the vehicle lurched forward again. The throttle then released I was able to shift to park the revving stopped.
Jeep purchased new on 28 January 2026. Fuel gauge only goes to 7/8 full after tank is full. Took it to dealer, they replaced gas tank, then 2 weeks later fuel pump twice, and fuel sensor unit. This solved the problem for 32 days now it's doing the same thing. Took it back to dealership, they stated there was nothing they could do and engineering is aware and working on a fix. Called another Jeep service they said they weren't aware of any updates or recalls.
On June 1, 2026, software update 68C was performed at the dealership on my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. On June 6, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m., after driving the vehicle for about 25 minutes, I experienced a serious malfunction. While making a turn at a speed of less than 10 mph, the vehicle suddenly and without warning lost throttle and propulsion. It appeared to hesitate as though shifting between electric and gasoline power, and then abruptly and erratically lurched forward, accelerating to what felt like maximum speed. The Jeep struck a chain-link fence, which slowed its movement, but it continued to surge forward. I applied the brakes and attempted to maintain control of the vehicle, but it kept lurching ahead. At no point did the vehicle emit a safety warning, sound an alert, or attempt to stop automatically, even though it normally responds to obstacles when operating properly. …

The case remained unresolved and Jeep wave was contacted again. Case number 96929145 was prematurely closed. I was not notified about the case closure. There was no resolution. A new case was opened, number 97058705 to hide history. Representative advised to take the car to the dealer and pay for proper diagnosis. Representative refused to provide the CSI survey. …
Catastrophic Loss of Motive Power and Power Steering at Road Speed Following Recall 68C Update. Description: On February 6, 2026, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (Mileage: 24,947) suffered a catastrophic safety failure while in motion on a public roadway. This occurred about 25 hours after the vehicle was "cleared" by a dealership for Recall 68C (NHTSA Recall 25V-741). While driving at approximately 25/30 MPH in Electric Mode, the vehicle suddenly displayed a "Service Transmission" warning and a red high-voltage "Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System" error. The vehicle immediately lost all motive power and entered a "Limp Mode" (Turtle icon) that restricted speed to under 5 MPH. …
On August 4, 2025, while being operated in an ordinary and careful manner, the newly-purchased vehicle experienced an episode of sudden unintended acceleration, lurching forward uncontrollably and slamming into a tree. Then, as the driver attempted to back up, the vehicle charged forward and struck the tree again. The vehicle's driver airbag never deployed despite sustaining two head-on collisions which ultimately rendered the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle's manufacturer hired an "independent" inspector to inspect the vehicle. They found "no manufacturing defects" and blamed "human error" for the incident.
The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, the message "Battery Charge, Switch to Park" displayed and the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated that moments later, the vehicle was restarted and operated normally. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was contacted, and an appointment was scheduled. The contact stated that the vehicle had previously experienced random jerking forward while coming to a stop. Additionally, the rear passenger's side seat belt malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the check warning engine light remained illuminated while driving. The fuel cap was replaced, and the failure was fixed. The failure mileage was 5,000.
