What owners report

Three active recalls on this vehicle currently and have not had the vehicle a full calendar year yet. Two pertaining to fire-risk recall which can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside vehicle. The recall instructions state there is an issue with battery and engine which can cause fire. The recall instructions state to not charge the vehicle nor park in garage and to park it outside away from buildings due to risk of thermal runway. The engine may contact materials which can also cause fire. Because of this, the vehicle is not safe to drive. My dealership (Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey) as well as Jeep has refused to provide a loaner vehicle or transportation assistance free of charge. …

Purchased a brand new 2024 Jeep Wrangler from dealer in 2024. Car had brand new Nexen Roadian HTX2 tires on it. 2 years and 14k miles. One of the tires blew recently and I brought them in to be inspected and was told they are unsafe due to significant dry rot and wear. They are exhibiting premature weather cracking, but the car has been garaged and driven normally and tires rotated/cared for under normal expectations. Nexen is refusing to replace or repair, however this is a manufacturing defect and not environmental. The problem was confirmed by 2 dealerships and multiple claims with the BBB online. This does not fall under their mileage warranty and shouldn't - it's a defect and warrants a recall. I have Roadian HTX2's DOT code is 18EA AHAH 2424 size is 245 / 75R / 17 All 4 tires are exhibiting the same issue!

After hitting a bump driving normal highway speeds 45+ mph the car begins to shake and vibrate vigorously. It feels like you will lose control of the vehicle and the only way to stop these vibrations is to slow down to 30-40mph. Stopping like this on the freeway seems extremly unsafe when traffic is flowing. The dealership referred to this issue as the "Jeep Death Wobble" and it is apparently a known issue. The vehicle has been into the shop already twice and they have failed to correct the issue. The first time they replaced the stabilizer and the second time they were unable to replicate the issue to the traffic in the area and being not able to drive at highway speeds. Stellantis/FCA have requested I continue to to Drive this vehicle even with these issues saying this is not a safety issue.

2023 Wrangler · Jul 2023

Violent shaking of the front end (wheels/tires and steering wheel) after hitting a bump in the road. The "death wobble" occurred twice since I bought the vehicle new from a dealership about a year ago. The miles are low (2,000) as the Jeep is my extra vehicle, and no modifications have been done. The first time it happened I was going about 55 mph, and the second time about 65 mph. After the second incident I reviewed the internet and saw the death wobble class action suit that does not cover post-2020 Wranglers. Both incidents occurred during the day on dry and well maintained roads. I made a dealership appointment after the second occurrence, but can't get in until 1/9/2024. Loss of steering/control in traffic makes this a serious issue.

I am submitting this supplemental statement regarding my previously filed complaint involving a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. On November 8, 2025, I was involved in a crash that resulted in bodily injury, including head, neck, and back pain, and required post-accident inspection and towing. Despite the nature of the impact and the injuries sustained, the frontal airbag system did not deploy. The manufacturer, Stellantis, conducted an inspection through a third-party contractor and advised via email that the airbag system did not deploy because the deceleration threshold was allegedly not met. However, I have not been provided with the Event Data Recorder (EDR) data, crash pulse analysis, sensor performance evaluation, or the technical criteria relied upon to reach this conclusion. …

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle started to wobble. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where all four tires were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer but was not yet diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 350.

Within a few days of purchasing the vehicle, I noticed that the vehicle moved dramatically to the right and to the left, and the steering mechanism of the vehicle was extremely loose. At 150 miles, I brought it in...the adjusted the steering and aligned the tires. I went on a three hour trip on the highway on April 18th, 2021, Sunday. I nearly crashed into a huge tractor trailer truck because the vehicle swung rapidly to the right and the steering mechanism was so loose, it would not respond sufficiently in time. In addition, the vehicle swings wildly with even mild wind. I managed within inches to swing the car away. I have now brought the vehicle back two more times to the dealership, and they deny any issue. I have provided videos with my spouse driving. My son also drove and found the same issue. The issue occurs both at speeds above 50...and at a speed of 15 miles. …

2021 Wrangler · Apr 2021

The vehicle manufacturer is aware of the problem with my Jeep, yet they have not taken meaningful action to resolve it. At this point, the local dealer continues to charge diagnostic and repair fees only, focusing on steering and wheel inspections, while the death wobble persists. During the warranty period, I submitted video evidence showing the vehicle shaking severely. After reviewing the video, the dealer immediately installed a steering damper at no cost. However, that solution was only temporary. The same dangerous shaking returned and has continued to repeat. Now it appears that the manufacturer is declining to take action because my warranty may have expired. However, I have documented proof that they acknowledged the defect during the warranty period and performed repairs related to it. I have records of those warranty repairs. This is not a minor vibration. …
