Sorry for my bad English, I am from Quebec, in Canada. On [redacted], our jeep wrangler 2023 burned. The 95B recall was process on December 19th 2024. The battery burned, no flames were visible, only chemical fire.
My vehicle is waiting for a fix for Recall 24V720000 / 95B - It is totally unacceptable that Jeep has no time frame for a solution for this horrific safety issue however my vehicle is having another even more dangerous issue that Jeep refuses to acknowledge and I know I am not the only one with this serious defect. My vehicle (2023 4Xe with 5000 miles) losses acceleration power... This has happened at least 10x over the past 5 months. The check engine light often flashes on and off or stays on steady during this. When engaging the gas pedal at various speeds (30-65MPH) the gas fails to respond or output any power causing the vehicle to slowdown dramatically. SIGNIFICANT risk of being crashed into. It takes flooring the gas pedal and anywhere from it 10-25 seconds for the power to kick back in / engage and accelerate. I have been trying to get this fixed since August. …
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Jeep 4xe: after coming to a complete stop or just slowing down and entering a lower gear, has a 1-2 second delay in the accelerator. Has caused tires to squeal when accelerator started to respond. Have almost caused accidents when becoming unresponsive as the vehicle will move forward but lose accelerator power. This happens infrequently and spontaneously which makes it impossible to plan for/ drive defensively against, cannot replicate or force it to happen. Vehicle can be inspected upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Vehicle will move forward after stopping, such as an intersection, and suddenly does not increase for 1-2 seconds making me a hazard to traffic. This happens maybe 1-3x a week and is impossible to replicate. …
On October 25th, 2025 my husband and I were driving home on the freeway. All of a sudden, without any warning notice or check engine light, my hybrid 2023 Jeep caught on fire as we were in it driving down the freeway. The fire started under the hood and under us. Flames were coming up the sides of the Jeep as we drove and were getting bigger then coming in the vents and under the hood. My husband pulled the Jeep over to the shoulder and we quickly got out and away from the Jeep and called 911 for help. Cars were still driving down the freeway as the Jeep was engulfed in flames. Our safety was put at high risk since we were driving on the freeway at highway speeds and the Jeep caught on fire without any warning and my husband and I were sitting inside the Jeep traveling while it was actively on fire and getting worse. We were located right by the fire as we were driving. …
On 12/06/2025, I purchased a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe from a Chrysler Jeep dealership in Myrtle Beach, SC. Recall 68C (NHTSA 25V741000) had been published on 11/05/2025 - one month prior to my purchase. The recall involves high voltage battery cells with separator damage that may cause a vehicle fire while parked or driving. A Stop Sale order was active on this VIN at the time of sale. I raised the recall and fire risk during the purchase. The salesperson responded that "a fire could happen in any car" and continued to minimize my wife's specific safety concerns through sustained pressure until we agreed to purchase. No documentation was provided showing the recall had been remedied prior to delivery. The recall remains OPEN as of today. Third-party vehicle history data confirms Stop Sale: YES tied to 68C. We cannot charge the vehicle or use it as intended. …
The high voltage battery failed to charge, power surges and power drops while on highway plus burning smell. Charger stopped charging and gave warning light. No one was able to replicate so I was forced to take vehicle back. I am in [redacted] and asked if this could be the issue. No one could verify or give me advice. Having done my own investigations I see high temperatures can affect and cause thermal fires. The manufacturer is not taking this seriously and also dealers in [redacted] where it is excessively over recommended temperatures to charge should be making owners of these vehicles aware or don't sell them in the state. I have been treated appallingly from everyone trying to ensure my safety. Although I was lucky there was no serious incident I believe this will happen. …
After the 68C recall was completed, which was a new electric battery, I have had an ongoing issue of losing power when merging back onto a road on city streets as well as onto the hwy. Its very scary to have this loss of power and very dangerous. I also have an issue of short engine runs while in hybrid or electric mode and they seem to be for no reason at all. I can be going the same speed or just barely increase the speed. It may go in and out several times during the drive for no reason at all. I have been told this is not good for the engine. long tern. Now, today I had to get an oil change to get myself out of FORM. I was not due for an oil change. But, I went into form AFTER getting fresh gas and it stayed there for a week. Not sure if it was ever going to go back to being able to use electric or hybrid mode. …
I purchased a new 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe on October 7, 2022, with 15 miles on the vehicle. As of September 19, 2026, the vehicle has 34,764 miles. All safety recalls have been completed: Recall 53A - May 19, 2023 Recall 95B - December 12, 2024 Recall 68C - February 3, 2026 (hybrid battery replaced) Recall 21D - July 10, 2026 Since the hybrid battery was replaced under Recall 68C in February 2026, I have noticed a significant change in vehicle operation. The vehicle does not remain in Electric mode for very long before automatically switching to gasoline operation. My primary safety concern is delayed acceleration. There is a noticeable pause between pressing the accelerator and the vehicle responding, particularly when accelerating from a stop or entering a highway. …
On September 24, 2026, Recall 68C was completed on my Jeep Wrangler 4xe by an authorized Jeep dealership. Following completion of the recall, the first attempt to charge the vehicle resulted in an electrical fire at the charging location. During the charging event, the charger and electrical outlet melted, and the wiring connected to the outlet began to burn. The fire appears to have originated at the charging equipment and outlet. No visible damage occurred to the vehicle itself; however, the charger, outlet, and wiring sustained significant damage. Post-Recall Vehicle Performance Concerns: Since completion of Recall 68C, the vehicle has not operated correctly in Electric Mode. The following conditions were not present prior to the recall service: The internal combustion engine (ICE) repeatedly cycles on and off while the vehicle is displaying "Electric" mode on the instrument panel. …
