Vehicle Information: 2026 Honda CR-V Sport HybridComponent: Power Train / Hydraulic Brakes / Electronic Stability ControlDescription of Incident:On [Date], my 2026 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid was parked facing uphill on a steep incline. I started the vehicle, depressed the brake pedal, released the electronic parking brake, and shifted into Drive. Upon transitioning to the accelerator, the vehicle failed to hold its position. It immediately and rapidly rolled backward down the incline, completely overriding the Hill Start Assist (HSA) mechanism. As I was pulling into a parking space inside a parking structure, ground floor, my car suddenly accelerated, jumped the curb, going through landscape hedge and landing on front hood of a parked vehicle outside of the parking structure. I was slowly parking the CRV, my foot was not applying any pressure on the gas, I was slowly easing into the parking space and as I was putting my foot on the brake to stop, it was very hard as if it was locked and the car kept going. I couldn't stop the SUV and it jumped the curb/went over the plants and crashed into a building/shattering glasses , frames, furniture and appliances as it hit the wall beam and stopped. to The Honda emergency brake system did not activate to stop the vehicle. I had no control of the vehicle as I frantically tried to brake- it was locked. I have reported a claim to State Farm insurance company and to Honda Claims.
