I believe the brake or something related to the brakes failed. I ran a stop sign, with no evidence of brake marks on the road. I crossed over a highway hit a side walk almost hit a house. The safety of myself and others was at extreme danger. When finally came to a stop I couldn't put my car in Park, or back in drive or shut my car off, i beleive i had no braking or something electrical failed. My car is totaled. The only light on was the airbag light before the accident.
On 08/22/2023, I took my vehicle into an auto service repair center to have diagnostics done due to a creeking sound. I was worried something could be wrong, and should any issues not be addressed or resolved, I could do more damage by continuing to drive my vehicle. Unfortunately I was advised that the sound was due to a rear suspension knuckle issue, a part that can't just be repaired based on how it was engineered and that the whole thing would need to be replaced. Due to the diagnosis I received, I knew it was imperative for me to see if there were any open recalls and review any notations from other Chrysler vehicle owners on said issue. I was able to locate, within just a few moments, that there are several manufacturers that have open recalls due to rear suspension knuckle and bushing problems. …
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving 10-15 MPH and making a left turn on a bridge, there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the vehicle, and the vehicle slid to the side of the road next to the curb. The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle had collapsed onto the front tires. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The vehicle was later towed to the residence and was then towed to an independent mechanic. The mechanic replaced the front suspension. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated while accelerating from a complete stop, the vehicle made an abnormal cackling sound and was very sluggish. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled in the middle of the road. The vehicle was able to restart after several attempts. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. …
transmission service (power train ) caused my parking rod dislodged/broken to slip/jerk to lose control of vehicle. It had put us at high risk, no airbags didn't go off to causing passenger to hit their head blacking out and non-stop pain in rotating cuff of right shoulder. It was inspect by the police and city from not being drive-able to be towed and inspected by the towing/mechanical person. The messages that showed on dashboard was transmission failed/ services, engine light and having electrical issues to light was flicking once press on brakes. when idling to pulling off from a stop cause to jerk.
From almost the beginning of owning this car it has made a noise in the left front driver's side. The steering wheel feels lose, like it could come apart. I had brake issues also. The dealer was able to find the brake noise, but not the noise in the left front driver's side. They say there is nothing they can detect. Yet, my car continues to make this noise. Now, I'm not a mechanic, but my car should not be making a noise if everything is alright. Checked on youtube and many people with Chrysler 200's, 2013's are having the same problem. They say their mechanics either cannot find the problem, or it's 1. Steering column 2. Outer tie rod end or sway bar end links 3. Ball joints 4. Bushings can be worn on control arms of sway bar or 4. Tie rod. My dealer cannot find any of that wrong with my car, yet, I believe it is one of these problems. …
My transmission has had nothing but problems shifting, racing rpms, banging and clunky plus the gears are searching. The software has been updated along with its recalls. Because there is no code when present or engine light. Chrysler will not call it not working. But they state its working fine because no codes or engine light. The dealer gave me a harx time with it as a trade in. The brakes have been an issue and they hear the noise byt state they are fine when in fact they dont always stop when pressing down. My front end and steering has been taken apart and replaced so many times . The front end scapes clunks still. I explained to both Chrysler corp and arrigo Dodge Chrysler in west palm beach. Im still having problems. The car feels like I lose control of the car. I have a bad car service records state all the repairs. …
For weeks now ive been noticing a weird grinding or dry rubbing sound underneath the front end of my chrysler. Checked it out a few times, as though i am not a mechanic i can identify the basics of something not right. However, after my husband and his brother both looking it over on seperate occasions, they have noted a leak under the carriage of the car. Often here recently, the guage senses an over heating of some sort. Since this notice, we have replaced the oil cooler twice in a year; as well as flushed the hoses associated with the coolant reservoir. Fixed temporary but has now already started getting too hot. Which simply tells me that its something further internal thats wrong. I was informed of an engine recall: L33 of my chrysler model. However havent seen one on this website. When driving yesterday, i noticed a light on my cluster that indicated the traction has failed. …
Was driving car going only 25-30 MPH and made an attempt to slow down to a stop which I had plenty of time and space between car in front of me and my front fender to do, as I applied brakes I notice it go all the way to the floor and my car wouldn't stop which soon after having plenty of space to do it LED to a rear end collision as my brakes failed to work correctly when applied. I have a police report to verify the incident on 09/27/2016 in appleton, wi. Because I was going at a really slow speed at the time luckily no one was really hurt when this occurred around 10:00 am in an area with little to no traffic at the time, but even know I was only going around 20 when there was an impact my car which was new prior to this accident is now considered under state law in wisconsin a salvage vehicle as repairs exceeded the value at the time of 7000.00
