I have been having trouble with my car for a while where it, most of the time, won't start on the first try. I've been to my dealership multiple times and it just seems as if my car is declining after each session. I can't even remote start my vehicle anymore. There will be times where I am stopped for a period of time and my car will stall and/or glitch out. The Stability Control and Electric Park Brake Trouble Indicators will come on as well as the Anti-lock Brake System Fault and Electric Power Steering Fault Indicators...All at the same time. I will be looking around for Auto Shops that I trust but later down the line, if there is no breakthrough, I will buy another vehicle.
Parked vehicle. While vehicle engine still running and placed in park, I removed my driver side seat belt. Within 10 seconds of doing so, the panel flashed that the AWD was disabled, the traction control light came on, and the warning indicator stated to "have parking brake serviced" I had not engaged the electronic parking brake manually, but attempted to reverse the vehicle, only to find the parking brake had engaged on it's own. I work in automotive warranty, so I logged into my work account and found that this is a similar problem with a short in the electronic parking brake sytem and is related to the seat belt. I placed vehicle in park, cut the power to the engine, waited for a few minutes, replaced my seat belt and restarted the vehicle. All the same codes flashed on the panel for a about 20 seconds, and then cleared. …
was driving and pulling in next to garage heard a loud pop and brake pedal when hard and could not stop the car and hit the side of the garage . safty issue is if i was at a higher speed and light turns red would not have been able to stop the car and would have hit another car or person , there was no warning lights on till after the pop when the red brake light came on, and said service eltric brakes it has been looked at by me and it has the same iisues that the dodge dart had for the recall r63 with the brake booster geting oil in it from the vacuum tube assembly have called chrysler and they said it is not and issue but it is a safty issue
I believe the brake or something related to the brakes failed. I ran a stop sign, with no evidence of brake marks on the road. I crossed over a highway hit a side walk almost hit a house. The safety of myself and others was at extreme danger. When finally came to a stop I couldn't put my car in Park, or back in drive or shut my car off, i beleive i had no braking or something electrical failed. My car is totaled. The only light on was the airbag light before the accident.
I was attempting to turn around on my street and was hit on the driver's side by an oncoming car. Immediately thereafter, I tried to pull into a nearby driveway, but the car seemed to suddenly accelerate tremendously and plowed into the back of a parked car in that driveway. I was trying to brake but had no time as the car accelerated so suddenly. It damaged my grill and the bumper of the car that was hit. It appears that other owners of the Chrysler 200C have experienced similar issues with it accelerating when the driver is trying to brake.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the parking brake was independently activated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure intermittently occurred since purchasing the vehicle in 2015. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.
While driving this vehicle the car would shut down while driving, no ability to brake, to steer. The car would start back up, but the same issues would happen, making it extremely dangerous to drive. This happened on several different occasions. One of my issues with this problem is that Chrysler had the same issue with the 2015 Chrysler 200 and the 2015 was recalled. If you look at sites other than Chrysler, customers had reported the same problem with the 2014 and it looks like Chrysler just swept it under the rug. The dealership is saying that the TIPM system needs to be replaced on my car, for a cost of $3000.00 for a know problem.
"Takata recall" the brake doesn't work well. Sometimes its accelerate by its self. The speed when your driving in the freeway goes up and goes down by it self. You feel like there something shifting in the bottom of the car when you stop. I even crash one time when im driving on the streets because it accelerated when I press the brake. It wont stop at all.
