While driving down the interstate my car jumped a little then I could not go above 20 miles and hour. Once I arrived to a safe location I turned off my engine and then restarted. It seemed ok, but during the incident there was a flash on my dash that said "CHECK THROTTLE". I took it to a service station and they ran a code check on the vehicle. They stated the following: 1. ECM (Engine Control Module) 2. TCM (Transmission Control Module) 3. ORC (Air Bag/Occupant Restraint) My car is a 2017 Chrysler 200 VIN [redacted]. It has 55,600 miles on it, actual miles. Due to these error codes the mechanic stated I need to take the car to a dealership to have them fixed. [redacted]
I noticed there were recalls for the following problems and I have seen all of these happen to my vehicle but they haven't been fixed. Cruise control wont come off unless you hit the brakes 5 or 6 times and randomly speeds up without shifting. When this started happening my gas mileage went way down and the engine light keeps flashing. The codes coming up are cylinder misfire and air fuel ratio. I have talked to several people who said they had a similar issue and their dealership fixed it. I was told there were no recalls and nothing could be done. Not happy
24,000 miles bought 8 months ago while entering the highway which traffic turned out to be backed up and stop and go, doing 37 MPH from the access road merging into traffic at tat speed before the slow down my car shut off mid merge(almost as if it restarted like a computer) first there was a light and an airbag failure message then the emergency brake light came on (as if I had used the parking brake) then the tire pressure light followed by engine light the wheel did not lock up and as I had hit traffic I was luckily able to drift over to the side of the highway narrowly avoiding being hit by the cars behind me all lights except the engine light went off after about 30 seconds I had to try twice but I was as able to restart the car by the next morning the engine light had gone away I have since taken the car into the dealer and they have no idea what caused it or if it could happen …
My 200 vehicle showed an air bag light 6 months after purchase, about May, 2016. Then the vehicle was not recalled so I ignored it. The oil change at the dealer after May, 2016 date failed to address the light. It remains on to this date. Repair on tire that showed a light was refused on June 7, 2017. This tire light remains a problem. Now, the vehicle will not go uphill without stalling and will not run when it rains. The fuel seems to be blocked because I keep pumping the gas to go uphill after it stalls. The car cuts off when I make left or right turns. Now, I warm the vehicle for 10 minutes to show the engine is ready. The engine light has come on for the past 6 months. I failed emission testing in sept. 2019. The tune up done this month did not help. The engine light and other matters caused the emission testing to fail. …

The vehicle was towed to the dealer's in-network repair facility (pro-tec automotive, 1902 blanding blvd, jacksonville, fl 32210) where it was diagnosed that the fuel was bad and needed to be emptied. In addition, a fuel injection service was required. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer stated that they would not be able to honor the warranty since the failure was due to bad fuel. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.
Smelled gas when parked after driving about 3 miles. Called mechanic who said safe to drive 4 miles to garage. He found a crack in top of fuel pump that was spraying fuel to bottom of back seat where my 11 yr old granddaughter was riding. Mechanic then said it should have been towed in. He then said he had never seen a fuel pump cracked like that so I'm reporting it. At that point mechanic said it could have been serious if rear-ended. $856.00 ready wed.
