What owners report
My brand new truck started shaking while accelerating past 65mph. The shaking was not dampened by the suspension at all. (I.e. it kept the same or increased strength). The shaking could cause damage, excessive loosening or wear of critical components and lead to a serious accident at these speeds. It is similar to the "death wobble", but not as violent. It occurred multiple times. The shaking occurred without going over large bumps. I took it to a dealership and they did a load balance and alignment without resolving the problem. They noted a wheel was warped and moved it from the front to the back. This did not solve the problem. It seemed to prevent the shaking if I just tap the gas and wait a few seconds instead of holding it. The transition in and out of eco mode (4 to 8 cylinders) should be looked into.
When turn signal auto-cancels (completion of turn), the opposite side turn signal will SOMETIMES erroneously enable. This can be consistently reproduced when completing a turn (returning wheel to center) quickly. Slow turns do not cause the problem. Took to dealer and showed them how to reproduce... In park, just turn on signal then simulate turning then returning to center quickly. Dealer tested another 2025 on the lot and confirmed same behavior. They told me this is normal behavior. This happens sometimes under normal driving conditions and I'm afraid it confuses cars around me and presents a potential safety issue.
On Feb 3, 2026, I purchased a used 2023 Ram 2500 with ~40,107 miles from a large national used car dealer for ~$46,000. I drove the vehicle with my son as a passenger. On Feb 4, I had it inspected by a third-party shop. Both upper ball joints were worn beyond spec - the wheel moved in and out by hand on the lift, indicating imminent wheel separation risk. All 4 shocks and both front struts were leaking oil. All 4 tires were cupped from prolonged suspension failure. Front brakes near end of life. Estimated repairs: ~$7,000. These components do not fail at 40K miles under normal use, indicating prior abuse/neglect that existed before sale. The dealer's pre-sale inspection failed to catch an obvious, critical safety defect. I wanted to keep the vehicle and have it repaired. …
The contact owns a 2023 Ram 2500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V199000 (Air Bags, Steering); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving 30-35 MPH, the steering wheel failed to turn to the left or the right. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Action Number: PE26002. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that there was a loss of power steering assist function, which was caused by water intruding into the power steering module connector. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a loss of power steering assist caused by water intrusion into the power steering module connector. The dealer informed the contact that there was no warranty coverage on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer confirmed that there was no warranty coverage for the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 14,900.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, the steering wheel jerked to the right and the traction control warning light illuminated. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the electronic stability control, Forward Collision Avoidance, check engine, and power steering warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there was water intrusion in the rack and pinion, causing corrosion of the electronic power steering system and several other unknown components that needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000.
Fire on sliding portion of read window. Short on connection point of wiring harness for defroster. Dealer verified and confirmed. All has been documented. Also has had PCM and other electrical components real places two times now, along with other electrical issues that are still ongoing since time of purchase back in March of 2021. John L. Sullivan of Yuba City refuses to do work or rectify this issue. Ryan Triebess, the service manager, has a personal attachment to online reviews and refuses work to any paying customer that voices their dissatisfaction leaving me with a truck that to this day is a fire risk.
I am reporting a serious safety issue with my 2021 Ram 2500 (VIN: [redacted] ). The truck has experienced three separate transmission failures within a few months. Each time the transmission was replaced, the vehicle failed again shortly afterward. At one point, the dealership returned the truck to me without transmission fluid, causing additional internal damage and creating an extreme safety risk. I have also had steering issues since the truck was new, which continue today despite multiple service attempts. Shortly after purchase, the truck developed severe mold and water intrusion after the roof stop lamp was removed or stolen while the vehicle was at the dealership for service. This caused water to leak into the interior and contaminate the carpet. The dealership replaced the carpet but the issues continued. …
