What owners report
On June 1, 2026, software update 68C was performed at the dealership on my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. On June 6, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m., after driving the vehicle for about 25 minutes, I experienced a serious malfunction. While making a turn at a speed of less than 10 mph, the vehicle suddenly and without warning lost throttle and propulsion. It appeared to hesitate as though shifting between electric and gasoline power, and then abruptly and erratically lurched forward, accelerating to what felt like maximum speed. The Jeep struck a chain-link fence, which slowed its movement, but it continued to surge forward. I applied the brakes and attempted to maintain control of the vehicle, but it kept lurching ahead. At no point did the vehicle emit a safety warning, sound an alert, or attempt to stop automatically, even though it normally responds to obstacles when operating properly. …
We were at a complete stop, with foot on break when my jeep lunged forward twice , second lunge hit the vehicle in front of me, also that car was at a complete stop. It has lunged 2 other times while at a complete stop .
BACK OVER PREVENTION/BACK UP CAMERA SENSING SYSTEM Rearview image does not always power on, has delay powering, and/or sticks while displaying in the wrong direction misleading surrounding area. Because of this issue I had backed up into a smaller car in my blind spot, telling me It wasn't in my backup zone. This complaint prior to the accident, was told to me that it was an electrical systems update that was in the works. This still being an issue after almost 2 years. I have video footage of the malfunctioning backup camera, in all states. Delayed, stuck in wrong direction, and showing back up camera while driving forward.

We are contacting you today because our 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe started to exhibit some concerning issues: On a fully charged battery, our Jeep started normally in hybrid mode. After 10-15 miles (down to 51% battery capacity), power switched to Internal Combustion Engine (Engine) After parking, upon restart and re-restart, various malfunctions appeared on dashboard: - Straight to engine power (engine noise), not on electric power (even when still in hybrid mode) - "Service charging system" alert - Engine light on - Plug light on - Battery light on - "Blind spot service unavailable, service required" - On right dial showing "Power" and "Charge", abnormal (?) temporary swing down towards "Charge" - AC not working (no warning, no alert) - Battery still showing 51% After parking, when attempting to charge: - Charging lights start off normally but stop (?) after 30 seconds, and - "Service …
Our daughter (who is a student at the University of Virginia) had been having issues with her Jeep and the instrument panel. In addition to the "death rattle" which terrified her regularly when driving it on the highway, she had been complaining to us over the months preceding this accident that the car was doing odd things, the instrument panel was glitchy, would often have flashing lights and sometimes the steering wheel would feel tight or heavy. The day of the accident- she was driving to class on the UVA campus, going slowly (under 25mph) - and in the moments before the accident, while she was driving, the instrument panel started flashing lights, the fuel gage started going up and down, seeming to be having an electrical issue, so she pulled off the road going 22mph to get out of the way of pedestrians- there was actually a campus police officer directing traffic at the …
Was driving to work and the car failed to let me know I was going to hit something and I swerved into another lane creating a crash into a telephone pole and then into a pond/swamp area. The airbags did not deploy and I was going about 40 mph I suffered neck back and bruises to my arms. I am suffering servers neck pain. The car filled with water. The car did say it detected a crash but no air bags deployed after the telephone being straight in the middle. The car was totaled. Nothing appeared. No warning signs. I believe the car has been taken to salvage. If I had the air bags go off I would not have been hurt as bad with my neck back and arm pain. It was thrown violently
