Infiniti palm springs (67615 e palm canyon dr, cathedral city, ca 92234, [phone]) stated that the VIN was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. I am the owner of a 2007 Infiniti g35x 4 door sedan. I believe the manufacturer has created a design defect which creates hazardous driving conditions which I am sure will likely lead to accidents and injuries. This condition concerns the operation of the headlights in the furtherest on/off position. During night driving when the right turn signal indicator is activated, the headlight on/off switch is in just right position to inadvertently turn the headlights off in the middle of a right turn. In very dark areas without surface lights this defect creates a very difficult condition for the operator of the vehicle. This condition has occurred approximately 5 times in the past year of operation. I can not believe that I am the only driver of this vehicle to experience this problem - and I have other vehicles which have never experienced this condition. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 Infiniti G35. Upon entering the vehicle, the steering control panel lights, the gear shifter, and middle console lighting were not illuminating. On another occasion, while driving at approximately 45 MPH, a police officer stated that the running tails lights were not illuminating. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 123,000.
High mount brake light or 3rd brake light has stopped functioning due to a underrated diode on the circuit board. This creates an unsafe situation in alerting other drivers of braking/slowing and is not passable for texas state inspection.
I have a 2005 Infiniti G35 sedan with a rear window third brake started to not work correctly. The issue started sometime around 75,000 miles where the brake light would only be dim with two of the leds not working at all and sometimes the brake light would entirely not turn on. Now at 98,000 miles, the issue is getting worse with the light not turning on 90% of the time. I have not tried to fix the problem myself due to the results others have been talking about on the www.g35driver.com forum. I was quoted a high price to replace the third brake light and it was with a part not identical to the original. There should be a recall on this issue due to the safety addition the light is made for. There are strict laws in california regarding the operation of the third brake light working and now hoping that I do not get pulled over due to this issue.
I have a 2005 Infiniti g35x. I have owned it since approximately 50K miles. Friday night, on my way driving from dc to ny, the ac got stuck at 90 degrees, and in auto mode, the backlight for the instrument cluster went completely dead, and the stereo went out completely. I have no control over any of these 3 devices. Since I live on the east coast and all the dealerships in the area are closed, I called one in riverside, ca - riverside Infiniti. They said the stereo is dead and they've seen the problem "countless times" (quote). I made a posting on several Infiniti forums on the internet requesting advice. The consensus is the same - stereo is bad. I feel that the instrument cluster and my HVAC should never be connected to the stereo as this is a major safety concern. Also, since this is a common problem, Infiniti should issue a recall/TSB.
Lock actuators on passenger side have NEVER worked, fuel pump stops working when filling up tank even though not nearly full (have to repush the pump in several times - sometimes it doesn't let me fill up tank totally because it thinks it's full), right headlights fog up and can't be polished, light bulbs went out. Cruise control NEVER worked, a/c stopped working at 77,000 miles, window motor on both doors broke before 75,000 miles
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 Infiniti G35. The contact stated that the driver and passenger side reflector lamps failed to illuminate and were replaced on two separate occasions. In addition, when refueling the vehicle, fuel would spray out of the fuel filler neck even though the fuel tank was not filled to the full capacity. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 06e060000 (exterior lighting) and 05V555000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also mentioned that after starting the vehicle the air bag warning indicator illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the mechanic could not locate the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 173,000.
