Tl contact owns a 2008 Infiniti G35. While driving 25 MPH in rainy weather conditions, the anti-traction switch activated and caused the wheels to lock. The four wheel drive indicator illuminated, which means that it was activated as well. The failure caused the vehicle to crash into a curb. The wheel was damaged, but the contact was not injured. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the failure was due to driver error. The vehicle sustained cosmetic and wheel damage, which would cost $1,700 to repair. The contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 8,000 and current mileage was 8,004.
My car has been stalling while driving at low speed. Several warning lights come up (check engine light, slip light, battery light) and then the engine shuts down completely. Upon placing the car in park, I am able to re-start it. This is a major safety issue. I believe my car is part of recall number 03V455000 - engine and engine cooling. However, my VIN is not part of the recall, but I am experiencing the same issues associated with this recall. This needs to be re-addressed. I have children, and I am worried that this issue can cause an accident, especially while I am driving on the freeway. I have seen various similar complaints related to this issue with Infiniti.
powertrain control module my car keeps dying out at stop lights and on freeway Yes by a service center Auto care Precision Tune Autocare just dying out on freeway when have to stop and go on freeway. It started doing this about 4 weeks ago as of today. 6/7/2021
Two different incidents - I was in two minor low speed incidents. I believe at the time of the second the brake rod got bent (which is currently speculation and the insurance is investigating) from the first accident. After the first my accelerator would not function on some left hand turns. I got in the second accident because of the inability to "brake harder" and I was amazed I couldn't stop in the distance provided, and this braking scenario and outcome is repeatable. If I brake hard -- harder -- full stop. By the time I do a full stop my braking power is diminished and in my accident I was unable to stop in a "normal" distance. Furthermore, after this second accident at < 20 MPH. I have intermittent accelerator failure in all driving scenarios. I could be driving and it just cuts out. No error lights in either of these scenarios. No check engine, no slip, no ABS, warnings. …
Tl contact owns a 2006 Infiniti G35 sedan. The contact heard a ticking sound while accelerating. The dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of failure. The check engine light illuminated at 3,300 miles. The dealer replaced the cam shaft sensor. At 6,400 miles, the ticking noise returned and the check engine and oil lights illuminated. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle as consuming a large amount of oil. The vehicle was put through an oil consumption test and failed twice. At 7,500 miles, the vehicle stalled while turning and the check engine light illuminated once more. The dealer has diagnosed the vehicle as needing a new engine and would like to install a test engine designed for this type of failure. The engine size was unknown. The current mileage is 8,600 and failure mileage was 1,800. The consumer stated the vehicle shifts very rough. Updated 07/06/07.
At ~7,900mi, I took my G35 coupe 6mt to Infiniti dealership when I started hearing a knocking noise and noticed that the "check engine" light would come up every few times a week. I was called in 4 more times after that (every 1,000mi) specifically for oil-level testing. The dealership received an approval to replace the engine, and at 14,500mi, after just about 6 months, I drove out with a new one (10102-ac7m9). I was told to go easy for the initial 12-15K. After driving about 1000mi now, I am running low on oil. I just checked it myself. I plan on taking it to the dealership soon to record it formally. But this is not the only problem I am having, the new engine seems to be a lot louder and a bit sluggish too.. Yes.. Definitely not the ride I got used too!!
Infiniti G35 sedan 6 speed manual transmission - up rev - vq35de oil consumption is beyond safe and operational under normal driving conditions. Initially car engine seized after 3000 miles of driving. Dealership said it was the oil consumption, and the customer needed to add oil. (this incident was not reported by Infiniti of marin). According to inifinit TSB - itb08-002d - this is an apparent problem, and there is a test and solution for this faulty engine. Inifiniti consumer affairs says I am out of warranty period, and this will have to be an out of pocket expense. They also mentioned it is the responsibility of the dealership to notify the customers, and it is out of their control.
I was driving my car and heard a loud sound and then my airbags went off. I lost control on my steering and was able to coast the car to shoulder. The airbags deployed even though there was no collision with another car. Under further inspecting it looks as if all the bolts came loose on the drive Trane. I have no idea why the airbags went off. I did sustain an minor injury to my hand. police were called, fire trucks checked for possible fire hazards. I looked for recalls and or air bag malfuctions for this year make and model but did not find any. Had I not been in the far right lane I could have been in a serious accident. The airbags deploying scared me. Both the driver and passenger side airbags went off. I was the only one in the vehicle.
