I was driving my 2008 Infiniti G35 through a heavy rainstorm at 11:30 am, going east on glade rd., boca raton, fl., in the middle lane at approximately 35 MPH, when a car in the left lane of this three lane rd., cut me off. I hit the brakes hard and my brakes completely locked up, putting me into a skid onto the right swale and my car, skidding violently, smashed into a tree. Although the car hit the tree almost head-on, only the left front side air bag went off. The steering wheel bag never went off. I was wearing my seat belt, and the my chest was smashed against the air bag straps and left me with severe welts and terrible pain for over two months. My right tibia and fibula were broken and displaced. Two surgeries and three months in a cast and bed-ridden, I am finally doing much better. I notified Nissan that the front air-bag and the anti-lock braking system never activated. …

When I press brake pedal down the brake starts to slow the car, but all of the sudden the brake is completely to the floor. The car just keeps going. Brakes completely gone. I had to use the e brake to stop the car from slamming into another car in an intersection. I was able to pull the car off and on to a side road where I called aaa for a tow. That unfortunately was not the first time this has happened. The first was in a drive thru. I went to stop at the window and literally just kept rolling like I was not even pressing the brake. I started to panic and frantically pumping brake when finally I somehow had brakes again and the car came to a sudden stop. Very scary. I reported this issue to Infiniti and the lady on the chat live said sorry there's nothing we can do for you. I have read blogs and blogs of people having the same issue I don't get how this is legal and not recalled. …

While driving I experience extreme vibrations, coming from the right side of the car traveling at or above 65 MPH. Once I reduced the speed vibrations did not stop, but it was manageable. I had my tires balanced and rotated the next day, thinking that would fix it. But once again it started, my vehicle has new tires and I had the vehicle aligned. After driving the car a couple more days, the vibrations stop but days later it began again. I was fed up, so I took vehicle to my mechanic and found that the right rear caliper had gotten stuck and it would not return to its proper place after brakes were depress, thus making the car vibrate after driving above 65 MPH. I had the calipers replaced, but now the left side it vibrating as well. The vehicle had no visible rust or problems, perhaps caliper is or are defectives after only 7 years on the road.

Driving on highway 50 my way to work the following dash lights came on vdc off, ABS, slip. After pulling over to examine what was wrong I discovered I had no brake lights & the 10 amp brake fuse had blown. I then got back in my car to drive to a parts store & the shift lock wouldn't disengage. So I manually engaged the shift lock & drove to the parts store & replaced the fuse but the dash lights were still on so I began to drive home & the brakes became tighter & wouldn't release & they eventually were completely locked with all 4 so hot they were smoking so I parked it. The next day I went to drive to a mechanic & the brakes had released but the more I drove they started engaging on their own without releasing & became hot again so I parked it again. …

The anti-lock braking system module (ABS) has burned out and is happening so often, infinity is unable to supply the demand and there is a nationwide back order for the part. After waiting 2 weeks for the part beginning 10/31/13, my mechanic disconnected the ABS module, so that I can have transportation because he does not know when the part will be available. I no longer have use of ABS and this also keeps vehicle dynamic control from functioning. As of today's date 12/09/13, I am still waiting for the part and driving without the use of safety features during this wet winter months. It May be worth noting that the low end of this repair at an independent shop is $1400 and high end $2100. A cost many people May not be able afford leading to more disconnected anti-lock braking systems on the road.

Driving 70 mile in fwy my car engine just shut off completely I almost died out there because of cars behind me. I calmly changed steering wheel to right side of fwy with left over speed after 5 of vehicle behind me almost crashed me and each other. Turn off engine and started engine few time and it worked so I sent my car to shop and they said it's a 2 of sensor prob. And while he was moving my car, driver side seat switch button was on fire! Fire! What is going on. I would have been killed out there if not for god. I see a lot of people complained on sensor prob with engine shut off, isn't this dangerous to drive???? Risking all of people's lives????

Brand new 2005 Infiniti g35x, 5 days old. Driving with my son and a passenger up a hill approx 60 MPH, entered turn saw a truck, went to apply breaks but they did not work. I turned the vehicle so as to not hit the truck direct and cause less damage. The driver of the other vehicle did not hear the breaks, my son nor his friend felt the vehicle try to stop. Result is $2500 in body damage to my car. The dealer states nothing is wrong and that it is my fault. Infiniti has opened a case but will not have an inspector available until October 24th. 6 weeks from incident.
