What owners report
The contact owns a 2018 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 MPH on the highway, the vehicle stalled. The electronic stability control(ESC) warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was restarted. However, on other occasions, when the vehicle stalled, the contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer, where it was diagnosed with starter failure, but the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 102,000.
I leased my car 2018 Dodge Durango , I had it for a week and a half and then it started to malfunction. The screen on my car has been rebooting for about a week now leaving me with no radio, GPS, back up camera, and all other emergency funxtions that come with with system. I got the car because of its radio and system. Now I have a $50,000 car and I cant drive it but I still have to pay at the end of the month. That is not right and I need some sort of compensation. This is ridiculous.
The first two incidents occurred while the vehicle was parked and idle. The vehicle would not turn on and all system indications were being alerted on the dashboard screen (power steering off, park assist off, check engine light, etc.). The third incident occurred while driving the vehicle down a main thoroughfare. The vehicle started "beeping" with a red LED flashing in the dash. The dashboard screen was alerting me to put the vehicle in park. Once in park, the vehicle shut off and I was unable to restart it. I have video showing the indications if someone needs to reach out to me. It is at a dealership service department for the third time, involving the same issues....updated 12/11/17 updated 7/17/18 .
The lights in the car are going off and on by themselves, the passenger window goes down without the window being touched. And the car will turn off when idling in the park position and the automatic shut off is not on or off.
The power steering has gone out. It fully went out while driving into a parking lot from a highway exit. The truck started making sounds and will not turn now. The vehicle has only 60,000 miles. I have seen where other Dodge and Ram vehicles are having similar issues where the power steering has completely gone out as mine has. With the electronic steering system every time I turn the wheel you hear a screeching and electronic or being sound (as if an electrical device has failed). I started to notice a dull or numb steering feeling to the vehicle which now has progressed into unable to use one bit. Fiat Chrysler has informed me that this is not covered under an extended warranty. We read that similar Dodge, Chrysler and Ram vehicles in our year range have been affected by this as well. …
While driving my 2016 Dodge Durango limited, my check engine light came on, then the (ABS) light came on and then my battery light came on. Every light on the dash and system warning was lit up. Then they started flickering and then the vehicle died right in the middle of a busy city road during peak traffic. I have replaced the batteries thinking that May have something to do with it. I have had the alternator checked and it is good. I had to get it towed to my house and has been sitting ever sense with no power. I don't know what the issue is, but for a car to die in the middle of the road during peak traffic is completely unsafe and unacceptable. Plus I had only had the car for 2 months
While operating vehicle (street, dry, day, speed approx. 30-40) ABS fault lights and brake warning light illuminated. When vehicle was parked would not restart or disengage park. After waiting 5 hours vehicle started with check engine light illuminated. On drive to dealer for service check engine light turned off, ABS lights then illuminated and on parking vehicle at dealer it would not engage transmission. Dealer incorporated recalls u65 update PCM and u06 autopark functionality. ABS module placed on order and dealer returned vehicle as fit for use 10 October 2018. After driving approx. 10 miles with ABS lights illuminated and parking for 6 hours vehicle restarted and behaved normally for .5 mile down entrance ramp to limited access highway. ABS lights illuminated, brake red light and check engine lights illuminated, vehicle slipped from gear and would not reengage. …
Truck jerked, then lost all power even though it was still running. Was locked into drive yet would go no where. No power steering, no brakes to speak of, lights flashing in the dash saying the battery needed charging, plus the check engine light flashing along with the d for drive. There was an altenator recall in nov. It took until April before they had the new parts to put in, and we took it in to be replaced. This happened after it was supposedly replaced. I don't think they actually did a replacement or else the new ones are just as bad as the old ones, and have the same problem
