Driving about 1 mile and air conditioner by itself went to a lower speed, kept driving for about another 10 miles and proceeded to get on freeway when did so, drivers seatbealt flashing that was not buckled then all the lights on the dashboard were flashing and the air completely shut off. It was hot so proceeded to row down windows and was not able to, almost like lost power.. Got off freeway ( thank god) and got to a stop in a safe place, smelt something burning, turned off car when did so windshield wipers went crazy and then saw smoke coming from engine. Waited for aaa in mean time tried to start car back up and wouldn't budge clicking sound (like altenator) trying to start car then it completely shut off, completely dead!!!

I was driving on a major interstate (I-70) when dashboard lights started flashing and signals started going off. Seat belt signal. Airbag signal. ABS light signal. I then lost power steering. My 12-year old was with me and scared to death as cars whizzed by at 70 MPH. I luckily was at an off ramp and took it and managed to pull off the main road. Car would not turnover when I tried it again. Got towed to a dealership. Battery was replaced first. Then they hooked up the alternator to the new battery, and the alternator drained the new battery by half in a matter of seconds. And started smoking profusely. Dealership replaced the alternator, which was a 220 amp. After the alternator was replaced it was determined that the alternator blew the PCM, so I had to have the computer PCM replaced too. Dealer says there May be more issues that arise from the bad alternator. …

I was driving with my kids getting our day started. I turn on with remote start was making loud screeching sound. Loaded up kids and started to take off. We could all smell a bad burning smell. I check all temps on car and nothing read high temperature. I drove on my way to daycare when my car stalled and shut down. And it had previously did this b4 like 4 months or so and a recall of fuel pump was done and had been running fine till this day. I tried starting it a few times nothing. Finally turn on and battery light came on. I drove it to drop of my 3 kids at camp when it kept feeling like it wanted to turn of. Still smelling burning. Finally I'm headed to work and it stalled in middle of intersection. Thank god I didn't have my kids with me and no accidents happened. I had car towed to local mechanic because dealership is and hour away. He said alternator gave out. …

Faulty vehicle 180 amp alternator caused a very dangerous situation for me and my passenger and other vehicles driving behind me that required a sheriff to keep other vehicles from wrecking while trying control the vehicle while driving. The dashboard and all eletrical functions started going haywire all at the same time when driving on a very winding curvy busy back road, lost steering controll, all message center lights flashing and wipers going all at the same time hot air blowing through ac vents, then vehicle abruptly stops while smoking acting as it seemed to be over heated or something burning. Had to manually get doors unlocked to get out of vehicle quickly before another vehicle would hit us. …

My 2011 Dodge Durango was in park and running when my front windshield wipers came on, and I could not shut them off. I also came to realize my steering wheel and dash accessories were inoperable (including my horn and blinkers). My traction control light came on along with FCW/ acc system failure light. I brought my Durango to the rainbow Dodge dealership. They advised me that the steering angle sensor needed to be replaced, but the part was on back order. Since they did not have the part, I ordered the part myself and had it replaced. Changing the part did not fix my problem. I went back to the dealership to let them know I changed the part, and it did not fix my problem. I asked them how did they know it was the steering angle sensor, and what did the scanner show... They told me that they did not put my vehicle on a scanner to diagnose the issue. …

My car gets stuck in 4low when in AWD. Car stalls all the time they have not fixed that recall as of yet. My check engine comes on and tire sensors to 0 on all sides when tires are fine. I can't turn left or right without clunking jerking. Dodge dealer knows the transfer cases have issues but no recalls. The Dodge forum is full of complaints about same issue happening to least 20 others I have seen so far. I'm being charged about $5000 to change transfer switch and case now. But with so many of us why hasn't this been recalled. I think the whole problem is our computers are faulty. I have all kinds of lights flashing up at times for no reason and no codes are found with CEL on. I was driving out of a store car park when light flashed and car got stuck in 4low now I live only to get to is from a highway and when that is 55mph and I can only go 20mph with wide turns we have an issue.

On July 3 I was driving our vehicle on a country road when the battery light came on shortly after pulling out of the driveway. We had been on vacation and figured the car had sat for 10 days without being driven and just needed a charge. The light indicator came and went before the car started doing weird things: hazard lights, windshield wipers, seatbelt light, etc. The car quickly lost power and everything locked up leaving us stranded on the side of a gravel road. We couldn't even release the keys from the ignition. There was a burning smell and the car had to be towed. The alternator went out, in turn burning up the ems system. This part is on national back order. We have been without a car for over two weeks now. The recall for the alternator was for a smaller amp. Ours is a 220amp. They are telling us production of the part May take up to 10-12 more days.

The last recall that was performed was the p54 fuel relay. I believe the problem is somewhere in the entire electrical system. The reason I suspect this is because the vehicle has lots of intermittent problems. For example, the alarm goes off randomly for no reason since I purchased the vehicle, power locks open on their own, vehicle has difficulty starting at times and then starts right up most of the time, and all without a warning or error code on the dashboard. The most recent problem almost killed me and my family this morning as the vehicle turned off while driving and almost caused an accident, again no error codes or warnings. An investigation should be opened because this is extremely dangerous as the vehicle can turn off at any moment and without warning.

On August 19th I was driving with my kids when all of a sudden all the warning lights along with my seatbelt warning lights started to go on and off. My radio and my control panel started to turn on and off on its own. Also the ac stopped working, it sounded like it was running but no air flow would come out. Then I began to have no acceleration. We researched that there will be a recall on the alternators for my 2011 Durango but because nothing has been released Dodge told us we are on our own. This could have caused an accident and I had no warning about what could happen. This is a big safety concern especially when this is our family car and my kids are with me in the vehicle.

I was driving my car one afternoon after work and all of a sudden all the lights on my dashboard lit up. I turned the car off rested for a minute then restarted it and proceeded to the oil change place to get my car an oil change thinking that would do the trick. Fast forward to Friday off this same week my car all of a sudden stopped working. The car lights blink for a second off the car comes on but otherwise it had not fully started in 2 days.
