My son was driving the vehicle down the interstate and attempted to exit. He hit the brakes and the car would not slow down. He had the pedal all the way to the floor and the vehicle still would not slow down. The vehicle went off the exit ramp, through a grassy hill area, across the entrance ramp, and finally stopped when the tire broke off. Even with the tire broke off and the vehicle not moving the engine was showing it was going 30-40 mph. No airbags were deployed. I received a Luckily the only injury was my daughter's sprained wrist. The entire front end of the vehicle has been replaced, including the frame, and yet no airbags were deployed. I did receive and ABS failure alert on my app but was told that was because of the tire breaking off and not what caused the accident. I have requested the vehicle be inspected since the accident occurred. …
We purchased a 2025 Chrysler Pacifica in September 2025. In October, 2025 we begin to receive Urgent Safety Recall notifications regaring Driver Side Curtain Air Bag. My husband went to the dealer where we purchased van and was told we would have to be on a waiting list and we were number 20 on her list. The dealer has never contacted us about scheduling a repair on the Driver Side Curtain Air Bag. We have made 3 trips to the dealer and have been told the same story...we are 20th on her list. The Recall clearly states that because of this defect, "occupant could be ejected during a crash." To us, that seems critical to have repaired. Chrysler evidently doesn't think so putting us at great risk in case we were in a accident. Stated in their Recall: "We are sincerely concerned about your safety and reiterating scheduling a repair". …
I am reporting a recall repair failure/delay involving my 2024 Chrysler Pacifica, VIN [redacted]. We received FCA's recall letter for Important Safety Recall - Side Curtain Airbags, FCA Recall 06D, NHTSA Recall 26V-189. We scheduled a recall appointment with Pedder Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep of Poway, 13811 Poway Rd, Poway, CA 92064, for [redacted] at 7:45 AM specifically because of this airbag safety recall. When we arrived, the dealer first said there was no recall, then later realized there had been a VIN-related mistake. They kept the vehicle. At 10:44 AM, the dealer texted that the vehicle was ready for pickup, but did not clearly disclose that the airbag recall remained unrepaired. Only after we called and asked for clarification did they say the airbag recall was not completed because the required airbag parts were unavailable. …
I own a 2024 Chrysler Pacifica with open safety recall FCA 06D / NHTSA 26V-189 for side curtain airbags/ejection mitigation. I contacted the dealer approximately two months ago to schedule the free recall repair. The dealer advised there is a parts delay and the repair is still approximately two more months out. I checked for earlier repair options and was told no dealer can complete it sooner due to parts availability. This is a family vehicle used to transport children, and the recall involves side curtain airbags that may not retain sufficient pressure during deployment, increasing risk of injury or ejection. I am requesting NHTSA review because the manufacturer appears unable to provide the safety recall remedy in a timely manner. I am also seeking guidance on whether the vehicle is safe to continue driving and whether alternate transportation should be provided while waiting.
On September 5, 2025 I took my vehicle to be serviced at Earnhardt Dodge in Gilbert AZ. I informed the service attendant that I believed there might be a recall on my air bags. Upon checkout I didn't see if the recall was serviced among other things and it wasn't listed as being completed. On [redacted] a deer struck the front of my vehicle while driving at high speeds. The air bags didn't deploy and the air bag light illuminated after the accident. In October 1st my vehicle was taken to Earnhardt Collison and a diagnostic check was done on my vehicle yet the light or anything else regarding the airbags was not listed in the appraisal after I notified Earnhardt and USAA that the airbag light was on after the accident. After they continued to ignore my request I demanded my car be transfered to a new body shop and it not be touched on October 3rd. …
The contact owns a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V302000 (Air Bags); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the air bag warning light illuminated, and the warning light illuminated several times intermittently while driving. The dealer was contacted to schedule an appointment, and the contact was informed that the vehicle would be added to the waiting list because only one part could be ordered per week. Upon following up with the dealer months later, the contact was informed that the part was available, but the earliest availability for the recall repair was within a month. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. …
The contact owned a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving up to a four-way intersection at approximately 5 MPH, a second vehicle driving approximately 50 MPH crashed into the front driver's side quarter panel of the vehicle. During the crash, no air bags inside the vehicle deployed. The driver sustained a brain contusion and was transported to the hospital. The second-row driver's side passenger sustained lower back and neck strain, and the third-row driver's side passenger sustained a head contusion. Both were later driven to the hospital for medical attention. The driver of the second vehicle also sustained unknown injuries and was transported to the hospital. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to a nearby storage facility. A Police report was filed at the scene but not provided. The failure mileage was 135,000.
I am filing a safety complaint regarding Chrysler Corporate's handling of recall campaign 06D (NHTSA 26V-189) for my 2022 Chrysler Pacifica.I received an official corporate notification via mail explicitly stating that parts were now available to remedy this active safety recall. However, when I immediately contacted my authorized Chrysler dealership to schedule the critical safety repair, I was turned away and informed that the parts are completely unavailable and backordered with no estimated release date.Sending out official notices claiming an open safety risk can be fixed when the necessary components are entirely missing from dealer inventory is a highly deceptive and unsafe practice. It causes vehicle owners to waste time coordinating service under false pretenses while forcing us to continue operating family vehicles with known, unaddressed safety hazards. …
