What owners report

On Sunday January 13th while getting off highway lost power steering while taking exit. Due to lack of power steering van went off the road up an embankment and damaged vehicle. I called Chrysler on 1/14/2019 and reported issue. Claim #57836097. I was told that someone from incident reporting team would be contacting me within 4-5 days. I have since called them again on 1/22/2019 and again today 1/28/2019. I have no choice but to drive vehicle because I am a 100% disabled veteran and in a powerchair. The van is customized for my powerchair and my only means of transportation. The power steering keeps going out intermittently and now other electrical issues are occuring now as well. The passenger side window comes down on its own, traction control light on dash goes on and off, stability warning flashes on dash and of course power steering light comes on and says service. …

I purchased my vehicle 10/29/18 and its been a great vehicle til about July 2019. I have taken it to the dealership for them to fix a clicking noise in the front left side and everytime they change a bunch of parts but dont fix it. Now its a loud squeeking noise everytime I back out my driveway or pull off in drive. Ive taken 3 times and they cant figure out what it is. Ive have to rent a vehicle and the dealer also let me use a 2 door loaner knowing I have 4 kids. They keep saying bring it back Monday. Well thats only 1 problem. 3 times already when I put my car in reverse my backup camera comes on but dont go off when I put it in drive. So while im driving down the road my backup camera is on and is very distracting and dangerous. This past weekend my husband was driving while we were going somewhere, well we were in traffic on a very steep hill so he had to stop. …

My car will unexpectedly stall out while driving thus creating a serious safety hazard. This has been happening intermittently for the past 8 months. I have had a local Chrysler dealership check and they think it's the PCM or fuel pump as had been reported in other model years. They reset the PCM but this did not repair the problem. Chrysler has recalled other models from 2004 and 2006 for this issue but will not aknowledge responsibility for the 2008 model. The car is currently being used in brussels, belgium as I am working for the department of defense there. I contacted the europe Chrysler customer care but the representative said she had no knowledge of any relevant recalls past or present. I have sent an email to them (copy to NHTSA) again requesting financial coverage for the necessary repairs and I await their response. What are my options now?

Warning lights on the ip indicate a failure, illuminating "ESP/bas" [electronic stability program/brake assist system]. Three dealers ran the diagnostic codes and have told me there is a "clockspring" failure in the steering angle sensor, which needs to be replaced. This is an extremely dangerous product failure since I could lose control of the Chrysler Pacifica under extreme braking or in case of a skid on a slippery road surface. Chrysler initially said they do not have this part available. Later, they claimed I would be able to get the part - in January - the February- now March. Still no part available. Chrysler must be compelled to recall the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica for the safety of the drivers and passengers - and fix this dangerous defect.
