My vehicle for the past 2 year have a shifting problem. I can't get it into gear and go over 28 MPH. I had it checked out I was told nothing was wrong. The second time I was involved into a accident because tea went from 50 MPH to 30 MPH back to 50 MPH to a barricade on the highway. My insurance cover the repairs and a week later still the same problem. I took it to the transmission shop and mechanic said it?s not a transmission problem he believe it a sensor problem. I took it to Chrysler and they told me I just needed new brakes. I ship it from hawaii to new york and the mechanic replace the sensor it was fine for a week. I drove it to va for mandatory training and it completely die on me back to driving under 28 MPH. My car is stationary in a residential neighborhood in va because it will not shift into gear and I don't know what's wrong...

The transmission gear shift lever interlock return spring hook on about 28,800 of the above vehicle broke. A broken interlock return spring hook will result in the inability to move the gear shift lever out of the 'park' position. There is a recall for customer satisfaction notification k39 transmission shifter interlock lever for the following vehicle which is the same as mine but the "lx": 2005 - 2007 (lx) Dodge charger, magnum and Chrysler 300. Why does the same problem, with the same automobile, with the same year does not apply to a "sl"? How much do I have to spend to repair a manufacturing malfunction for something that should be a recall. I parked my car and on my way to work I could not move the gear, it stuck to p.

When the transmission is cold the vehicle stalls having no control over forward or reverse motion with dangerous side bound traffic instances while refusing to shift with RWD rear axel severe vibration sensitivity causing total RWD rear axel power loss & coiciding transmission abnormalities. Powertrain malfunctions/dysfunctions resulting in a dangerously faulty suspensions stability & braking pressure strength causing pull in passenger side direction where vehicle seems dangerously the weakest & exhaust fumes abnormally recycling into vehicle cab system. Only has 140K original miles. Manufacture defects now becoming death trap & safety disaster to potential lives of others.

I went to use my car and I could not get it out of park. The shift lever would not come out of park. I check on the internet and found out the pink plastic part inside the shift base has a small plastic hook the brakes off and the spring come off in side and you can not get your out of park. I had to go to the Chrysler dealer ship and ask them about this problem and the guy said that Chrysler was aware of the problem but was not doing a recall on the problem. So I had to buy the part and fix it my self. My car was down for 2 days. I could not have it towed to the dealer because it would not come out of park to get it on the tow truck.
