My car poses a safety hazard to me and any others who ride in the car with me, due to the defective Takata airbags that were placed in my vehicle under the Takata airbag recall. Without my consent or knowledge, Dominion Chrysler of Bedford, VA replaced both front Takata airbags (driver and passenger side) with 2 more defective Takata airbags! How is this legal or safe!? I only found out about this dirty trick, by reading an article online, and then I called my dealership and they confirmed that they did indeed replace my defective Takata airbags with 2 more defective Takata airbags and that I would get safe, non-Takata airbags in the future, under the recall. When? They did not know. I had the first airbag replaced in 2016 and the second one replaced in 2017. When will I actually receive safe, non-Takata airbags under this recall? …

My wife was driving home at night from the store in a residential street and car all of a sudden accelerated on its own. Wife tried hard to apply the brakes but car would not slow down. She tried hard to control car to avoid poles and trees and hit hard in ditch. Air bags failed to deploy. Wife suffered contusions and bruises. Car was considered a total loss by insurance company. Tried to notify manufacturer to report the failure and just kept getting a run around from them. Apparently they do not stand behind their products. I see several other complaints on this same issue but no recall was ever issued.

Driving west on rt 20 in granby ct, passing through intersection on a green light, was struck head-on by another vehicle, both cars were totaled & towed away. On the other drivers' car, all of the air bags deployed, there were no injuries, while on our Chrysler 300, none of the air bags deployed, causing injury to left elbow & right shoulder. Lack of air bags deployment May have been a good thing since we subsequently received a recall notice for the drivers' air bag inflator/detonator defects causing severe injuries & deaths.
