What owners report
My vehicle started having stuttering/shifting issues back in August 2025, I was advised the vehicle did not need new engine but upgraded oil. I continued to have the issues and have continued to bring back to dealer for constant software updates - cannot duplicate issue meanwhile the stop sale order was issued and I was not advised. The vehicle then experienced very hard jerking- stall- that lead to the dealership putting an AWD IN 2WD calling it a fix! Just got vehicle back again after a complete stall at a stop sign- causing vehicle to roll back and cut back on! Dealer stated the vehicle showed the stall/shutter but could not duplicate on road test. This is a serious safety issue!!
Fuel System Control Module went out abruptly and without warning resulting in the vehicle and occupant being stranded on highway. This was a brand new vehicle with only 320 miles on the odometer, and happened after only 6 days of ownership. The dangerous nature of above situation is self evident. Unexpected loss of power while in traffic is dangerous. Dealership replaced the module and confirmed it was the cause of the breakdown. No warning, no change in audible sound, or anything else prior to vehicle shutting down suddenly. The selling dealership replaced the module and confirmed

The contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH, a warning message advising to reduce acceleration was displayed, the Check Engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to pull over safely. The contact stated that the failure was recurrent. The dealer was notified of the failure and diagnosed the vehicle with a valve failure. No further information was available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.
My vehicle, 2023 Tahoe, previously had the GM Recall 25V-274 / N252494001 remedy performed (0W-40 oil swap) in October of 2025. Despite completing the manufacturer's official recall remedy, the engine suffered a sudden, dangerous loss of motive power at highway speeds when I was making an out of state move and traveling alone; it was terrifying. I had to have it towed to the nearest dealership and that is where it is now as I had to leave since I was in the middle of moving. I need a new engine. I have no idea how I will get my Tahoe to my new residence or when. The dealership was not open on Sundays so I had to find a place to stay after leaving my Tahoe full of my items and my bike. I was so afraid it would be broken into. I had an oil pressure warning right before the engine completely stalled. …
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that several days after purchasing the vehicle she was informed by an individual that there was something hanging down from underneath the vehicle. The contact inspected underneath the vehicle and saw that the fuel tank strap hanger was not installed properly and was hanging down underneath the vehicle. The contact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer who confirmed that the front fuel tank strap was not properly installed. The mechanic installed new fuel tank straps and the vehicle was repaired. The contact was awaiting a full inspection before going to retrieve the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 353.
My 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe has a recurring pattern of excessive oil consumption, smoke from the exhaust, repeated check engine light events, P0420 catalyst-efficiency faults, and repeated catalytic-converter-related repairs. At approximately 75,000 miles, the vehicle shut down on the freeway. At approximately 121,000 miles, the first catalytic converter failed. Chevrolet of Wesley Chapel documented P0420 and catalyst failure in November 2025, and GM service history reflects catalytic-converter replacements at 131,468 miles and approximately 141,082 miles. The vehicle also underwent major injector-related repair in early 2026. At 141,620 miles, Chevrolet of Wesley Chapel started an oil consumption test and stated in writing that oil consumption can lead to repeat failed converters and false oxygen sensor readings. Despite substantial repairs, the problem pattern continued. …
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while reversing out of the driveway, the vehicle suddenly lost acceleration and the message to restart the vehicle was displayed on the instrument panel. While attempting to restart the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart and another message that the conditions were not met to restart the vehicle was displayed. The contact contacted OnStar to assist with starting the vehicle. The vehicle was started; however, the engine failed to remain running. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who informed the contact that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and completed the recall repair. The contact stated that approximately two years later after the recall repair was performed, the failure reoccurred while the vehicle was idling. …
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact attempted to start the vehicle several times, however the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked in an underground parking lot. The contact stated that four tow trucks attempted to tow the vehicle; however, the transmission had to be disconnected from underneath the vehicle to remove the vehicle from the underground parking garage. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed fuel pump power control module. The contact was informed that the fuel pump power control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. …
