The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving on the highway at 65 MPH, the steering wheel jerked to the left and to the right. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that some unstated bolts had sheared off and an alignment was needed. The contact stated that the rear anchor arm was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
While driving at approximately 25-30 MPH the steering system locked up for a 2-3 second period not allowing the driver to maintain the desired direction of vehicle movement. The first incident occurred while navigating a turn in the road, the second occurred while turning left at an intersection. The vehicle has since been parked waiting on the dealership to get the vehicle in for diagnostic check to see if the problem can be determined. The occurrences were approximately 1 week apart. The risk is losing control of the vehicle for a short period of time, putting occupants of said vehicle at risk of being in an accident and potentially injured as well as putting other drivers on the road at risk. Vehicle is scheduled to go to dealership on May 7, however dealership is unable to provide a time frame of when they will be able to examine the vehicle. …
My 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe LS has experienced repeated service issues within the first year of ownership. The vehicle has been in the repair shop five separate times and out of service for approximately five months total. Due to extended repair periods, the mileage remains extremely low. A primary concern involved the steering system. The steering wheel was noticeably off-center while driving straight, requiring continuous correction to maintain proper lane position. Steering-related components were inspected and replaced. There were no warning lights present at the time. However, improper steering alignment raised safety concerns regarding vehicle tracking and stability. The vehicle has been inspected and repaired by authorized service providers. I am submitting this complaint to determine whether this reflects a broader safety-related issue with this model year.
Since 15,394 miles vehicle has experience multiple system failures upon vehicle startup. 2/24, 2/25, 12/25, 1/26. In all of these 4 instances the brakes become spongy/hard, steering wheel locks, and I am not able to control vehicle. Dash lights up; "Brake system failure - 43mph top speed", "Fwd collision system unavailable", "Service traction control", "Service ESC", "Service steering column lock", "Service brake pad monitor". Dealership has replaced, Telematic control module, Electronic brake control module (EBCM), Serial data gateway module, Park assist module and most recently they replaced the battery and cleared the codes to "fix" the same intermittent but recurring condition. In 11/24 Recall N242447990 was performed, reprogramming of Brake system control module and Serial Data Gateway Module, the exact same issue happened before and after the recall.
While driving 70mph on the interstate, my 2022 Tahoe stopped accelerating, the engine seized, and shifted in to neutral at 52,000. I was able to coast to the side of an extremely busy interstate, right before a bridge and wait for assistance. The dealer confirmed this is a problem known to this vehicle. The engine is on backorder, even under warranty. They say an SPAC has been filed and I had to make a claim to GM to reimburse them for the starter, battery block, and battery they decided to replace first. They said it could take up to 3 months to receive a new engine and there was a waitlist for a 10day loaner car. The vehicle had just been at the dealer for a 50,000 mile check up and warranty repair. There were no other symptoms prior to this catastrophic engine failure.
Car got stuck between gears while driving on the road. The vehicle accelerated by itself almost causing me to crash. I immediately pulled over into a business and put the truck in park. The car stayed on. It turned on and off but would not shift gears. Would not go from park to reverse or drive. And unfortunately the "warranty" only cover 60k miles. Conveniently right before this well known issue goes out. The main issue was Pressure Control Solenoid C Stuck On. This issue is an issue many people are having and since it is a drivetrain issue this can affect many lives while on the road.
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the warning message "service restraint system" was displayed and the air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the electrical wiring under the front driver's side seat was damaged from moving the seat back and forth. In addition, the contact also indicated that while operating the vehicle the message "Power Steering" was displayed and the steering wheel became difficult to turn in either direction. The cause of the failures was not yet determined. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 140,000.
