The radio touchscreen is partially inoperative. Because of this, I can't pair my cell phone to my car. This means that I can't use my cell phone hands free. This is a safety issue. This defect is very common. Toyota has a technical service bulletin about it (TSB 0172-16). Toyota told me that the whole radio touchscreen assembly needs to be replaced. The cost quoted is $1400. Because this is a safety issue there should be a recall and Toyota should fix this at no cost.
After 3 days I finally got around to looking for the trunk lock - I.e . The key lock feature that disables the trunk release next to the driver. Only there isn't one! How could this be? My recently traded 2003 Honda and older Honda's I've owned all had this feature - I assumed Toyota did too - a detail that didn't loom large when initially reviewing the car because I assumed it had one. So after research and much to my dismay (I returned a perfect 2014 rav4 because I felt "exposed" with items in the interior luggage area) I now find this vehicle also "exposes" me to potential loss because I cannot secure my personal items. I am not the first to comment to this flaw and Toyota certainly has had time to correct the issue (2 yrs) but apparently decided not to. Toyota should correct this flaw as soon as possible - the best selling car in America can be a thief's best too.

Stop with traffic in front. Car hits me into traffic from be hind vary fast damage to front and back swashed my car. Air bags did not go off for a fast hit front and back all at the same bag. That is what making me scared of being in the car.
I have a 2010 Toyota Camry. It has been to the dealer 3x since I purchased it due to a whining sound which appeared shortly after the car was purchased. I have been told each time that there was a noise but it wasn't unusual. 3 weeks ago I took the car in for an oil change and I complained of the same whining noise problem and asked them to do the "fixes" on the car for the Toyota accelerating problems. (the pedal and the rug - which I was instructed to take out in the past). When I picked up the car I was told that all camrys have the same whining noise and I don't know what was done, if anything, to the pedal but I was told to put back in the same mat which had been in my garage. I have had several toyotas in the past and am not trying to jump on the bandwagon but I am very concerned about the noise and what was done, if anything, to make sure my family is safe in the car. …
Tl contact owns a 2009 Toyota Camry. Approximately one month ago the the contact stated that her radio display was not visible whenever she started the vehicle. Within a few weeks, the rear power windows began opening on their own. The contact was driving approximately 20 MPH when the brakes were engaged; however, the vehicle would not stop which caused her to crash into a vehicle in front of her. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to a body shop who advised the contact that there was also an electrical failure since the vehicle would start. The repair shop made several attempts to start the vehicle and was unsuccessful. The manufacturer advised her that the recall repair will start in April and that she would have to wait until then. The contact stated that the air bags did not deploy. The failure mileage was 19854.
Toyota Camry post recall fix - issues 1. Toyota Camry car suddenly accelerated and brakes did not work. Car ended up in a ditch and needed to be towed 2. Toyota Camry recall fix was done 2 days before the incident. A metal shin was inserted into accelerator assembly pedal along with car software (break overrides accelerator). Really bad customer experience - no quick response to the issue - have roadside assistance but was denied any towing charger at the dealership - nobody called me for 2 days to let me know status of the car - lost my keys and kept me waiting.
