The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the carpeting on the driver's side foot well was coming unglued on the left side, close to the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to have the carpet reglued. The vehicle was repaired; however, the carpet started to detach again from the vehicle's foot well, and the contact took the vehicle back to the same dealer and was advised that it was a known issue, and there was a Technical Service Bulletin: SB-0101-24 for the repair. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
The vehicle was bought on January 6, 2024. Less than three months after driving, it was raining that day. I opened the sun visor of the sunroof and saw that the sunroof was leaking. After careful inspection, I found that the hardware of the sunroof was defective. The dealer refused to repair it or replace it for me, saying that it was a normal vehicle. I am afraid that due to quality problems, the sunroof will be blown off by the wind when driving on the highway, or rain will leak into the car, which will cause serious safety hazards. I need them to replace me with a new car.
I woke up to my car on fire and Toyota is saying they don't know what happened but they're also saying it wasn't their fault I've never seen a brand new car just randomly set on fire and then nobody really look for any answers I just put brand new tires on the car the day before it burnt up I'm currently behind on my car payments because of the financial strain this whole situation put me in because on top of a divorce I wasn't prepared to go and buy another car I've just stopped living in my current car and got an apartment because of the financial strain that this is caused and I wasn't given any kind of reimbursement or assistance even with the tires that I just bought I feel like Toyota knows something that they're not telling me and I deserve to be compensated
The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, there was an abnormal mildew odor inside the cabin of the vehicle. The contact later discovered that the front passenger's side carpet was wet from rainwater coming from the undercarriage of the vehicle. The carpets were replaced. The cause of the failure was unknown. The contact indicated that the front windshield glass had cracked on several occasions, although no objects had struck the windshield. The VIN was not available.
The contact owns a 2022 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that both the driver's side and the passenger's side mirror housing covers were melting. The vehicle was taken to an unknown collision center who took pictures of the vehicle and provided an estimate of repair to the contact. Then the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the vehicle was purchased. The dealer advised the contact that the mirror housing covers were not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that they could not assist as the failure was due to climate. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 301. Consumer purchased Toyota Camry 2022 XSE delivered 12-6-21. Spotted Side Mirror Plastic covers melted by heating elements 1-13-22. The contact owns a 2022 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving at approximately 65 MPH, the contact attempted to open the sunroof; however, the sunroof had seized. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the sunroof needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 46,800.
I was stopped at a car wash, pressing on the brake pedal when all of a sudden it felt like someone rear-ended me. My car accelerated without me stepping on the gas pedal and I turned the wheel quickly to avoid hitting the car in front of me head on. I clipped his right back bumper, flew over a large shrub and landed smashing into a parked vehicle. The total front end of my vehicle was damaged and no air bag deployed.
2021 Camry with 29,000 miles panoramic roof is stuck in the vent position. Took it to two different automotive shops and was told they could not close the vent. The concern was too much pressure on the glass could cause it to shatter if they forced it to close. The recommended repair was to replace the entire sunroof assembly. A private auto garage quoted almost $15,000 to repair. Toyota confirmed the original diagnosis and quoted $10,600 plus tax. If the glass shatters, it obviously is a safety risk. Currently, the car is unusable as is. Two automotive centers confirmed the diagnosis. No warnings, the sunroof stopped responding. When googling, it appears many Camry owners have had the same issue. Contacted Toyota and was denied any assistance. The car has never been in an accident so it is hard to understand why there would be a bent mechanism other than a quality issue. …
