What owners report
1 Unknown. I suspect a malfunction involving the electronic gear-selection/shift-control system or transmission control system. I personally placed the vehicle in Park while the engine was running. After I exited the vehicle and was away from it, the vehicle moved on its own. When I returned after hearing the impact, the gear selector was no longer in Park and was in another position. The vehicle and relevant electronic systems are available for inspection. 2 The vehicle was parked on a steep hill. I had personally placed the vehicle in Park and exited it with my daughter. While I was inside my home, the vehicle moved without my knowledge or intentional input and struck my garage. The vehicle was running and was my spouse was still in the car when the movement occurred. …
Three days before the accident, I experienced an unusual issue with the vehicle. When I pressed the brake pedal to start the vehicle, I heard an unusual sound that I had not normally heard when starting the car. It was heard from the outside of my car and as well as I felt it on brakes as I pressed it. My neighbor was present and advised me to turn the vehicle off and restart it. After I turned the vehicle off and restarted it, the sound was no longer present. Three days later, while driving the vehicle, I attempted to apply the brakes to slow/stop, but the vehicle did not respond as expected. I pressed the brake pedal in an attempt to stop the vehicle but was unable to stop, resulting in a collision. …
I was using the snow mode because there was a little bit of snow and ice on the road. I had been driving it that morning and did not have a problem until I turned in to my street. I turned right and the steering and brakes and accelerator all locked, leaving me where my car slid across the road and the left drivers side tire ran over the curb. I was not able to correct anything as everything locked. Even though I am okay and was going less than 5 mph while turning. I feel like the whole car's function to lock is unsafe as it left me to hope the curb would stop it. The car had to get towed and is now in the shop with $4,000 of damage to that tire and tire rods which I feel like could not have been prevented considering everything was locked and did not allow me to correct properly.
Vehicle could not brake. The abs brakes did not function and forward collission warning did not go on causing a collission with another car that cut in front of car. This caused collission, airbags to deploy and car is totaled. Driver and passenger were injured due to crash and air bag deployment. On the day of crash I received a warning in my app requesting I have my abs checked at dealer because abs brakes might not function properly from Nissan.
The contact owned a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle accelerated inadvertently, and the speedometer increased to 112 MPH. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact swerved to avoid other vehicles, and the vehicle veered off the road, struck a tree, and rolled over approximately 10 times. The air bags deployed as needed. The contact noticed fumes before bystanders immediately assisted the contact out of the vehicle and advised the contact that the engine would catch on fire. The vehicle caught on fire. No further information was available. A Police report was filed. The contact was transported to the hospital by ambulance. …
I was driving on the highway to work. All of a sudden my car lost control and started spinning in circles. I attempted to steer and break but it would not stop. All the lights came on on the dash with an engine warning. I lost total control and slammed into a guardrail. I did call 911 because I was in part of the road facing the wrong direction. They sent the fire department. I was able to eventually restart the car and we safely drove it a couple miles down the road off the highway.
In the 5mph stop and go traffic of leaving a sloped parking garage, the brakes did not respond to repeated attempts to stop the Rogue. The brakes did not work with pumping them, hard pressure or light pressure. No collision warning alerts activated. (No beeping, lights or camera occurred as it usually does when an object is close to the vehicle.) No emergency braking activated. The only thing that stopped the Rogue was the impact with the vehicle in front of me. There is damage to the front bumper as well as the rear bumper of the car I hit. I turned off the car for 2 minutes and turned it back on to move it out of the way of the traffic behind me. The brake function returned as normal as did the collision warning alerts. The Rogue was taken to the Nissan dealership from which I purchased it. …
I was driving home from work during 5pm rush hour. I was coming up on a stop light going about 30mph and was trying to slowly come to a stop but noticed that my car wasn't slowing down so I tried to brake harder by pushing on the brake pedal but the pedal resisted my foot pressure so I pressed harder on the pedal but the car took over the braking and started to beep the collision warning. I was not in control of the braking system the car would not stop. The car wasnt allowing me to brake. I heard all kinds of beeping from the car as everything happened so fast. I ended up rear ending someone. Max speed was roughly 30mph and air bag did not deploy.
