The owner of this car is not getting any notices of recalls. I haven't owned this car since first quarter of 2014. Please notify Ford that they need to find out who owns this car now. Note: I leased this car from bloomington, mn Lincoln in oct. 2010.
The contact's father-in-law owns a 2010 Mercury Milan. The contact stated that upon refueling the vehicle, her father-in-law noticed that fuel was leaking on the rear passenger side tire. The contact's husband then verified that fuel was leaking from the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank was fractured and needed to be replaced. Well for starters its throwing a code saying that I have a small fuel leak some where and the 2 is one day I had a flat and after I changed the tire the power steering went out and not only that but the car has a heavy vibration in it and while driving it want to take off either left or right which ended up with me running off the road twice already
183 miles worth of gas leaked out of the car in a couple days. I drove less than 3 miles and noticed the miles until empty light was rapidly going down. I took it home immediately and parked it. Almost all of it leaked out parked at home. Fuel light is on.
Pulled 2008 Milan in parking lot, put in park, engine began to race, tapped gas pedal, engine returned to normal. Car started fine, driven short distance, I stopped at stop sign. Put foot on gas pedal, car began 'limp home' mode, was able to pull to curb. Wrench light appeared. Shut car off a few minutes.started fine, wrench light on, was able to drive few blocks to get home. Next day started engine 3 times, each stalling within seconds. Never had issues with car. Purchased precertified in 2011, 52,0000 mi. On it. Will own 7 yrs. May 2018. I put 1000 mi. Yrly. On car. Odometer now under 59,500. On 3/9/18 car towed to dealership (where I purchased it). Car sat in lot 10 days before looked at. Finally, checked and diagnosed. Installed new throttle body. Re-tested. Problem. Installed new accelerator. Re-test. Problem. Codes appearing. I contacted Ford motor co. …
The wrench light came on in the car and my OBD sensor will not pick up a code on what it could be. I was driving it yesterday to merge onto a highway when suddenly I couldn't pass 15 mph and was stuck witch cars beeping and zooming around me. I had to shut the car off wait and turn it back on. The amount of complaints I've seen about the same exact issue happening to people in the same exact car is ridiculous to not be a recall. I am almost certain it's a throttle bottle issue. This needs to be looked into and investigated before ford comes across a lawsuit.
Tl* the contact's sister owns a 2007 Mercury Milan. The contact's sister received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19V904000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact's sister stated that on two separate occasions, the vehicle failed to stop in a timely manner while depressing the brake pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact's sister took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who refused to repair the vehicle since the vehicle was under recall. The vehicle was towed to quirk Ford (540 southern artery, quincy, ma 02169) where an inspection was performed that confirmed that the brakes were defective as mentioned in the recall. Despite the diagnosis, the vehicle was not repaired because the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer. …
