There is a recall on my Mercury Milan 2009. Last October September October I took my car to hoffman Ford for the replacement of the recall on the airbags. Afterwards I noticed that there was a raising of the dashboard where they replace the airbag. I bought it to their attention, and they said it was from the glue that was used. Later a few months later I noticed the airbag area was expanding and foam was coming through the airbag area & vents over the.consul.I called Ford manf to report this issue. They said to someone will give me a call back ,I never got a call back. Also after the replacement of the airbags there was an issue with my brakes.they told me because of the car setting that is probably just rusty, but I wasn't comfortable and I called them and told them that I was going to bring the car to them and look at it again because something was definitely wrong. …
Received a letter from Ford that< "when parts are avail be, Ford motor company will send a letter to inform you that parts are available and to contact your dealer to schedule a repair." received the same letter for my 2006 Milan more than a year ago, and am still waiting to hear from for. In the meantime I'm driving a car with a bomb in my face. My complaint is when I spoke to my local dealer they told me there are no parts for this repair! If NHTSA has ordered Ford to make this repair what is nhsts doing about making certain the fords does due diligence to get parts to make the repair. I will be forced to cut the wires to my airbag system if this is not done soon. I don't what shrapnel in my face if I'm in an accident. I'll take my chances with my seat belt.
Tl* Takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 Mercury Milan. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17vs01000 (air bags). The parts to do the repair were unavailable. Ganley Ford west (16100 lorain ave, cleveland, oh 44111, [phone]) confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts would become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. The failure mileage was 17,589. Parts distribution disconnect.
Takata recall. Received notice, in March 2017, from Ford, that my passenger airbag was being recalled. Was told that Ford would send me another letter when I needed to schedule a service appointment. 8 months later and I have received no letter. When I called the dealership, they have no answers. I was told they do not have the parts and have no idea when they will get them in. On the airbag recall.com website, it said that my vehicle was eligible for recall since January 2017.
The airbags on this vehicle have been recalled. When contacting the Ford dealer they said that the company making the airbags has gone bankrupt and there is not a replacement airbag for the defective one in the vehicle. If the airbag deploys in an accident, it could seriously hurt or kill a passenger. I am afraid to drive the car the way it is and Ford does not know when this recalled new part will be come availalbe.
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 Mercury Milan. The contact was driving 30 MPH and crashed head-on into a utility pole, but the air bags did not deploy. The contact was injured and a police report was filed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but denied any assistance with repairs to the defect. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure and current mileage was 58,000. The VIN was unavailable.
I have received a recall letter dated July 2016 and no action by the dealer or Ford motor company....none, zero not even a explanation from the dealer service department what happened to the recall for the "air bag" replacement. If this is a troubled vehicle I really would like to have action and a replacement of the vehicle my recall number is 16s26. Ford must have an answer....
There is a federal recall on my vehicle. I have set up an appointment twice with mathews Ford in newark, ohio. They have failed to fix the problem. The first time I took it in they said because of covid they were not fixing them. I spoke to a representative from Ford who set up a second appointment. They were suppose to pick up the car on 02/24 and never arrived.
Takata recall. I have waited over a year now, and Ford still does not have the parts to replace my potentially lethal passenger side airbag inflator, nor do they (as of 7/6/2017) even have a projected date the part/s will be available. This is unconscionable.
