The contact owns a 2008 Mercury Milan. The contact stated that he had initially received a recall notice for NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V024000 (Air Bags) and had the vehicle serviced at a dealer. Despite the recall repair, the passenger's and driver's side air bag warning lights illuminated. The contact also stated that the ABS warning light was also illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had yet to experience a brake failure despite the warning light. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V158000 (Air Bags) and 19V904000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the parts for the recall repairs were unavailable. The manufacturer had been notified of the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 139,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I have been notified by Ford Motor Company several times about the recalls on my vehicle. One recall is for airbags. I went to the closest dealership new my small town and thought they issued the fix, only to learn later that they just disconnect the airbag light. The second recall is for the brakes, I have been calling since January of 2021 to request a service date only to be told they have no knowledge of the recall. On march 30,2021 I finally got a service date and express to the representative on the phone to assure that she knew it was for the break recall 19S54, she assured me the knew. I took off work that morning for by service appointment only to be told that they did not have the equipment to fix the issue. I was told to call other dealerships and turned away. I called 4 surrounding dealerships with in a 50 mile radius only to be told no one can perform the procedure. …

In March 2021 I received important safety recall from Ford advising me that the Airbag inflator might explode in the event of a crash and may cause injury or death to the driver or passengers. My daughter still drives this car, why have they not followed up and replaced this part?

Takata recall recieved recall notice on July 2016 as of this date still no parts. Recieved letter November 2017 no passanger to ride in front passenger seat. My vehical was in a car accident in December 2017 and the on the drivers front fender, the airbags did not deploy. Was not sure if they were supposed to.the car slamed into another cars back bumper on the other cars left side. It slid due to road conditions of weather. It was at 3 pm on a road with 35 MPH speed limit.the other car was turning without a turn signal.we had the car repaired through our insurance at state farm. $4000 damage.

Takata recall - today ,June 5th, received a Ford airbag recall letter . 3rd one over last 3 years . So - I called my dealer ( again ) ' no parts . Called to get the 'up to $ 30 / day rental ( no rentals ) ,,, when ? ' we don't know ' . Tried to communicate via their recall webpage . Chat doesn't work . No avenue to give feedback . Convenient faq's don't cover obvious questions about when , rental cars . Don't allow email input unless you fill out a form '- only to be ' told ' that it is not operating. Do you - dot - ever go to their recall website ( as a ' customer ') ? Do,you ever review fords recall letters to us ( big claims , web reference , caring words ) ,,,, but, does not work ! Passenger side air bag is in dashboard. Cover on air bag is lifting up. Took it into dealership. They said that happens because of the heat and that unless the air bag light goes on the air bag itself is OK. They would have to replace the entire dashboard at a cost of over $2000.00. Noticed it in 2014 for the first time. A year later and it is getting worse with more of the cover buckling up. Had the car back at the dealership for oil change and asked service dept. Manager about it again. He said it's not a big deal - he's seen it before. Just needs some glue but they won't repair it. Called around to various vinyl repair and car repair places. No one will touch it because it's by the air bag. We live in northeast ohio - not a warm state like florida. …

This car has caused nothing but tears and stress. I am a single mother and this purchase was huge for me and I can't even look at it without being stressed. First off the airbags were recalled over two years ago and Ford still hasn't received parts. So my daughter can't even drive in the passenger seat. Second and this is the major problem is when I hit a pothole or uneven pacing of street the breaks hit the floor as does not come to a complete stop. This is terrifying. I went through a stop sign and missed a turn another time. Almost slammed into the back of a car in front of me also. I replaced brakes again and had mechanics look at it to fix one thing for it to still happen. I have flashbacks of the accidents I've almost been in. It's just my daughter and I and this car is not safe. Hey Ford, are you going to pay my my therapists appointments for the stress you have thrown on me???? …

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 Mercury Milan. The contact stated that while the son was driving at an undetermined speed, the brakes failed to operate when pressing the brake pedal causing the vehicle to crash into the rear of a second vehicle. During crash the air bags did not deploy. No injuries were reported. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle towed away. The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the ABS needed to be repaired. The contact was informed that vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number 19V904000(service brakes) but the parts needed to repair the defect were not yet available. The contact indicated that the vehicle had experience the same failure listed in the recall. The manufacturer and local dealer keller brothers Lincoln located at 1030 schaeffer rd, lebanon pa. Were notified of the failure. …

Takata recall. March 2017 received notice from Ford motor company. Advised would receive notice when part available.received October 2017 notice tk holding filed chapter 11. That notice advised "contact your nearest dealership immediately to schedule a free repair'.October 2017 contacted walker Ford, montpelier, vt.no parts available, no idea when parts would be available. Advised to call tk holdings. October 2017 called tkholding @8336197579 to register email for future notices.voice mail contained info only on injury claim form. Called 8883274236 as instructed on chapter 11 notice to obtain info about obtaining free replacement airbags. # referred me to www.safercar.gov. I feel I am getting run around, not helpful information. Imt, I am riding around in a car with a safety issue to it's airbags.
