We've experienced multiple ongoing issues with this vehicle, and the dealership's only suggestion so far has been to file a lemon law claim. Last month, the car began jerking excessively while driving typically at speeds between 35-45 mph. The best way to describe it is that it feels as though all the wheels lock up at once, causing a loud tire-screeching noise. It was a frightening experience. The dealership claimed to have resolved the issue with a "software update." However, just last night, my wife was stranded on the highway when the car suddenly started shutting down mid-drive, similar to what happens when a vehicle runs out of gas. The maximum speed she could reach was about 20 mph, and the check engine light came on. She switched from hybrid mode to eSave (gas-only mode), which allowed her to get home safely. This morning, she tested it again. …

On 10/10/25, an Uconnect update appeared on info center console. I pressed the update now button and went into a store. After re-entering my vehicle, I drove one block and a message appeared on the dash that stated 'Service Charging System'. At the same time as this message appeared while driving, the car abruptly shut down in traffic, nearly causing a collision with a vehicle behind me. After trying to restart for about 25 minutes, the car restarted and I was able to drive to my destination. On the morning of 10/11/25, I started to drive the vehicle to the mechanic. After about a minute of driving, the check engine light came on. Then about 2 minutes later, the vehicle abruptly shut down while driving, again nearly causing another collision. A message displayed to shift in park and restart. I followed these directions as I also made a call to the dealership to advise of this issue. …

Year: 2024 Make & Model: Jeep Wrangler 4-door 4xe Body Style: Sahara 4x4 VIN: [redacted] On October 14, 2025, I began to drive my car home. After the use of the brakes, while I was pulling out of a large parking lot, the car functionally went into neutral, the "D" on PRNDL display began to blink. The brakes worked. I pulled over, put the car into Park and then into Drive again. Still, no change. I turned the car on and off and put it into Drive and the car began to drive normally, until I reached a stop light, exiting the parking lot. Then, the same thing occurred. The "D" began blinking and the car was unresponsive to the accelerator. I turned off and re-started the car. Again, it drove fine. The "D" was lit, but didn't blink. I was driving very slowly and then went down a hill. As soon as I tapped the brakes, the same thing occurred again. …

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that when attempting to accelerate from being idle, or while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly jerk, accelerate at an unexpected speed, or fail to accelerate. There was a ticking noise coming from the front end of the vehicle that could be heard when standing outside the vehicle. The Check Engine light and the explanation warning light, as well as others not specified, would illuminate intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times; however, the dealer was not able to diagnose the failure. The dealer updated the vehicle's software but was unable to provide a remedy for the failures. The dealer informed the contact of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts to do the recall repair were unavailable. …

1. Loss of motive power at freeway speeds (drops to ~40 mph) despite >40% battery charge 2. Uncommanded switching between electric and gas propulsion; driver cannot control the transition 3. Unintended acceleration in reverse / tire spin even after releasing accelerator 4. Steering wheel shaking at highway speeds potential loss of control ***All of these items create a high risk of rear-end crash, parking-lot collision, and pedestrian/property hazard This is not "normal hybrid operation." It is an intermittent propulsion control failure (loss of power + uncommanded acceleration behavior) that materially affects safe operation, so it should be handled as a warrantable defect and a safety defect, regardless of recall status. …

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE plug-in hybrid had the 68C recall performed at a Jeep Dealer. My vehicle was working flawlessly prior to this recall. After the recall was performed, the vehicle hybrid battery system now loses power when accelerating. For example, driving 45 MPH in electric mode on a level road for a minute causes the speed to reduce regardless of acceleration, with the exception of flooring the accelerator pedal which causes a surge of power from the gas engine, causing the vehicle to lurch forward. This creates an unsafe condition on the roadway as the vehicle cannot be reliably controlled. Often times now, the gas engine will surge when a vehicle is in front of me causing me to have to brake suddenly to avoid a collision. This problem persists with every drive under variable conditions. …

1: Ever since one of the recalls was "addressed", the vehicle seems to lack power when taking off, etc. It seems like it lacks propulsion. 2: I was driving on the highway several times, and for no reason, the power reduces greatly and I am unable to go above 60 mph. The warning light (as seen in the attached) comes on and stays on until the vehicle is turned off. This has happened to me several times at different speeds (with and without adaptive cruise control on). I cannot seem to replicate this again, and, when the light comes on, it's been at times that I was unable to take it to the dealer with the light on. It sat at my local dealer for about 3 weeks cumulative as of lately, and they could not get the light to come on. They even got a TA to come out, and they couldn't find the issue or cause the light to go on. Keep in mind...this is a leased vehicle, and miles matter. …

Driving on our way to a JEEP INVASION (local). We had our 3 children in the back seat. The jeep was traveling about 45 mph and the accelerator stopped working. Thankfully we were not on a freeway and no one was behind us. We had to pull over and turn the jeep off and then back on. It happened 3 times on the way there. We took it into the local dealership and they ran a test on it. We were told it happened because of the UConnect update performed over the weekend. We are currently trying to get out of our lease. We only have 16k miles on it and have taken it into the dealership 5+ times due to issues similar to this. But we have never had to worry about our safety the previous times. It has become a driving risk for us and we do not feel comfortable taking our children in it anymore. …
