The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that after reversing out of a parking space and shifting the vehicle into drive, the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own. As a result, the contact briefly lost control of the vehicle, which then glanced off the rear of another parked vehicle, coming to a complete stop after colliding with a concrete pillar. The contact also stated that while the vehicle was accelerating, he did make attempts to maneuver and slow the vehicle but the steering wheel and brake pedal both failed to respond. Both the driver and passenger side air bags were deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who was unable to duplicate the failure and/or provide a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. …
I was driving my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 2 Door Willys on a 4 lane divided road approaching a stop light. The stoplight was red so I started slowing down approximately 200 feet from the intersection. I applied the brake pedal and the vehicle started to slow down. As I was approaching the intersection I could feel the vehicle accelerating and it was difficult to get it to stop. I was almost stopped approximately 3 - 5 feet from the vehicle in front of me, when the jeep lunged forward and struck the vehicle in front of me. The jeep continued to accelerate and was trying to push the vehicle in front of me. I shoved the gear shift into Park and that stopped the acceleration. I never took my foot off of the brake pedal during the entire incident. …
The 2023 Jeep Wrangler has been inspected by two different dealerships 6-7 times, and I have submitted four cases through Jeep Wave, including a request for a buyback. While driving on the highway or on city streets, the vehicle experiences a speed reduction to 5-10 miles per hour, with a stiff steering wheel and hard brakes. Warning messages appear, including: "Engine Light," "Service Transmission. Continue in D. Do Not Shift or Turn Off Engine Until You Reach a Desired Location. You May Not Be Able to Shift Again Until Serviced," and "Brake is Not On," even when the vehicle is in park. The vehicle has malfunctioned twice on the highway while driving at 65-70 miles per hour and several times during heavy traffic at 5 PM. This raises significant safety concerns, especially on the highway, where a malfunction could pose a danger to others on the road. …
On two separate occasions, documented with the dealership, while driving, the Jeep failed to accelerate and instead decelerated. On one occasion, this occurred while I was in a single lane on ramp merging onto a highway and reached approximately 45mph. On a separate occasion, I was just pulling out of my subdivision and reaching approximately 30-35 mph when the same issue occurred. Both times, I pulled the vehicle to the side of the road as best as possible, and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle often fails to turn off, as it should. The vehicle has also failed to turn on as it should. The center screen turned off for a full trip. There is only approximately 15k miles on this 2023 Jeep Wrangler. …
The high voltage battery failed to charge, power surges and power drops while on highway plus burning smell. Charger stopped charging and gave warning light. No one was able to replicate so I was forced to take vehicle back. I am in [redacted] and asked if this could be the issue. No one could verify or give me advice. Having done my own investigations I see high temperatures can affect and cause thermal fires. The manufacturer is not taking this seriously and also dealers in [redacted] where it is excessively over recommended temperatures to charge should be making owners of these vehicles aware or don't sell them in the state. I have been treated appallingly from everyone trying to ensure my safety. Although I was lucky there was no serious incident I believe this will happen. …
I own a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN: [VIN]). The instrument cluster/dashboard intermittently shuts off while driving, resulting in complete loss of speedometer, warning indicators, and critical driver information. This creates a significant safety hazard, as I am unable to monitor vehicle speed or receive warnings while the vehicle is in motion. In January 2026, I took the vehicle to the dealership for this same issue. The instrument cluster was repaired under warranty/customer satisfaction repair. However, the exact same problem has now returned. My vehicle is not currently included in Recall 30B, but the symptoms are consistent with that recall involving instrument cluster failure. I am concerned that this defect may affect additional vehicles not currently covered. …
When driving the jeep and the engine light comes on (this light comes on and off repeatedly but is mostly on). When the light is on you will have major issues when trying to accelerate regardless of the speed. if you push the gas to full acceleration the speed will drop down from 3-5 mph or completely drop to zero. If you leave your foot on the gas it will take 15-30 seconds for the engine to engage and provide power. It feels like its trying to look to the battery EV motor for power even though the battery is dead. in same cases the engine does not restart at all and i have had to pull over to the hard shoulder to pull off of live traffic. I have several videos showing the issue. i have been to the deal 4 times to have this reviewed and they keep telling me they can't find an issue regardless of the videos i have provided. …
On 11/7/25 I brought my Jeep Wrangler 4xe for the two active recalls and an oil change. The battery recall could not be done. The motive power was supposedly fixed. Since then there has been a new problem. The Jeep gets to the point of stall (like the motive power issue) however right before the stall it surges. This really caught me off guard the first few times and I barely avoided three accidents. Now I know when it feels like it is going to stall to be prepared to slam on the breaks. However this is not really a good situation they really need to do a full recall to fix this thing. I noticed you gave an open investigation and I think it is a separate issue from the loss of motive power issue and I think the fix for the motive power problem has exacerbated this problem of lurching/surging that I have told my dealer about no fewer than three times. …
As I was driving home at around 45 mph, I noticed a flashing light on the dashboard. The light was instructing me to switch to 'P' to start. Additionally, there was a light indicating a plug-in, and the 'D' was flashing. I wasn't sure what was happening, but I knew something was wrong. Gradually, the acceleration slowed down, and I started to feel uneasy. I quickly pulled over to the side of the road. Luckily, the car behind me wasn't speeding, and they were able to slow down and give me space. I put the car in park, turned it off, and then turned it on again. After doing so, I waited for a few seconds, hoping that the problem would be resolved. To my relief, the flashing lights disappeared, and the car started normally. I checked the dashboard again, and everything seemed to be in order. I resumed driving but couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. …
On two separate occasions, the vehicle shut off while driving. Error messages indicated "electrical failure" and to "service charging system". In the second instance the check engine light came on. Both times I was able to get safely to the shoulder. The car was restarted by powering the vehicle off and then on again. October 2025- in Massachusetts on I290 heading back to CT from Maine February 2026- in CT on [redacted] The vehicle has been in and out of repair for several months at a time without repair or replacing parts. Software flashes clear the codes but have not fixed the ongoing issues. The manufacturer is aware and multiple cases have been opened with them without resolution.
