Approximately 3 months after purchasing my Jeep Commander, it stalled with no warning. All the trucks lights lit up and the power steering would not work. I was able to start it back up and drive. I took it to the dealer and they were unable to help me as they could not recreate the issue. Since then it has happened an additional 2-3 times with the dealership still unable to help me. All times the truck has stalled out and I have been able to restart and drive away. The last time being in September of 2012 while driving on a freeway at approximately 65 MPH.

I pulled out of a gas station after filling up my tank and was trying to make a right turn and my truck completely shut down, no warning lights came on and I was unable to steer. The truck rolled across 2 lanes of traffic, resting on the concrete divider of the street. I was able to put the truck into park and restart it. I have taken the truck to 2 dealerships and they have been unable to diagnose the issue. I have also contacted Jeep and worked with a case manager with the company and they have been unable to help me.

I have been the owner of 2008 Jeep Commander limited edition for almost 5 years. When I first purchased this vehicle it was my dream truck.. However it has now become my bomb waiting to go off killing me and my children. This truck randomly shuts off during high speeds, doesnt allow me break sometimes for read lights and put my life at risk daily when I drive. I have continually contact the dealership and headquarter about how dangerous my truck has become. I have missed countless days of work and be left stranded when the engine wont turn over. I have begged for help and nobody seems to care. Will it take a me being killed or hurting another for some to finally help. They continue to tell me the recall ignition piece isnt in and that they cant help me. I'm at risk of losing my job because the truck I pay for monthly isnt safe to drive. Please can someone please help me.
