A couple nights ago I started my vehicle and the lights were dim at the dashboard. At the same time the headlights would only turn off when the vehicle was turned off, the turn signals quit working, but the hazards work though, the dome lights didn't work unless lens pushed on but not from turn signal lever and the windshield wipers quit working. This all happened at the same time. I thought maybe a cluster relay was bad. The more I look into it, it May be the TIPM is faulty. In the past year I have replaced the battery twice, alternater is good and the vehicle stalled at random times.

While driving my 2007 Jeep Commander, it will shut off. Other times the lights will flicker off and car seems to stall. This problem happens without any warning. It is very scary to be driving on the interstate and the car just stops!!! I have four children that I drive around, so this can not happen! I have read where there have been many complaints about this and nothing has been done. That is unacceptable because lives are at risk. I'm taking the vehicle in for the ignition switch recall, but I have read where that has not fixed the issue I am having.

2007 Commander · 150,000 miles · Dec 2015

I was driving down the road and I noticed my back up assist lights flashing. Next thing I noticed was my RPM and MPH gauges were moving together and bouncing between 0-30 MPH. The turn signal on the car is intermittent while this is happening and the radio also is intermittent. This is happening at least once a day now. I've also had the vehicle shift off on me when coming to a stop. I'm not sure if this issue goes with the electrical issues that have popped up. I'm waiting for my part from the dealership for quite a while now.

2006 Jeep Commander with 93000. I have had serviced multiple times over brakes and suspension. Brakes will just grind when trying to stop at times. Brakes have been replaced and problem still occurs. Every mechanic has said everything looks good. Had bigotires do 3 inspections on brakes and suspension and everything checked out! Suspension- I have had services 3 times. All new parts have been put on front drivers side yet problem still persist. Popping noise and squeaking when turning and hitting speed bumps or pot holes and very noisy when backing up. Lighting has also started to go off and on! I believe something is wrong with the lighting. …

2006 Commander · 95,000 miles · Jan 2016 · crash

While driving this vehicle through a stone tunnel on the blue ridge parkway that had no lighting within the tunnel the Jeep suffered an total electrical failure and a total blackout took place. Thankful that I was not killed and that no one else was in the tunnel at the time, the Jeep was coasted to the outside of the tunnel and off to the side on the grass. Had anyone been coming in either direction I May have had enough light but it was pitch black. I have read of hundreds of electrical failures in this Jeep vehicle and wonder why I was never notified. This is a product warranty issue for Jeep and it nearly was also responsible for vehicular homicide! The Jeep just cut off all electric and not even dashboard lights afforded visual. I have the park rangers report and she said this most likely was total electrical failure. …
