What owners report
The electrical system of my car malfunctioned intermittently causing lights, ac, and the engine itself to go off and on in the middle of the freeway. There was a recall on the 2010 Jeep Commander (same as my car) for faulty electrical system, yet my VIN was excluded. I believe it should have been included in the recall and this faulty electrical system was the cause of multiple repairs done at my expense to the tune of a couple thousand dollars. I ask for a query into this. The electrical system is the nexus of a car's mechanical system and if not functioning correctly causes all else to eventually fail. The lights would not turn off after I turned them off, removed keys, and exited vehicle. Various lights would flash on the dashboard then suddenly disappear not providing enough time to read them. …
Started the vehicle by inserting the key fob. Turned the key and the vehicle dash lit up and went out immediately. Tried to turn the key again and nothing happened. Could not turn the key and it was difficult to remove the key fob from the ignition.
The commander turns off on its own, brakes on its own, the alarm does its own thing, the esp/bas lights are on, buttons on dash don't work most of the time, sunroof drain is faulty, and leaks rivers of water into my car! Also had my brakes to seize up on me and I couldn't move from a danged stop sign. I just want a vehicle I can rely on.
Was driving the speed limit when I started smelling an electrical burning smell several seconds later my passenger side airbag deployed while I was driving scaring me almost causing an accident I am almost 7 months pregnant!!! Now the airbag light is also on and I am terrified to drive!
