What owners report
There is a major design issue with the two front seats on this vehicle in that they are too low. I am five feet four inches tall and my wife is five feet two inches tall and I can barely see over the driver's side front windscreen having adjusted the seat to it's maximum height. The passenger seat has no adjustable lever as a result my wife can see anything outside in the front of the vehicle. This is a major design and safety issue and it has to be addressed by Honda. I've also been following the Honda Accord forums and many people have the same issue. because of this I'm already planning to sell the vehicle and buy something else instead. I've owned a Honda Accord previously and many other vehicles and this type of issue was never a problem. …
Started the car and the system was not booting up Properly. Had to restart the car a few times for the system to boot up properly. Took 3 min to start up after restarting the car. No error codes just major lag and delay. Car was updated to the most current update and no new updates were available at the moment. Bluetooth also has a hard time connecting to mobile devices. Engine makes weird sound when accelerating on the highway in eco mode. Sometimes feels like misfires when accelerating. When entering the car from outside the seat sometimes does not adjust back to the original position stays at the extended position it does when getting out of the car. Requires me to adjust my seat consistently.
I have contacted multiple dealers to repair the recall. However, none of the dealers have the parts to repair it and does not know when they will have parts. They asked me to keep checking because they will not be contacting me when the parts are available. I am using my vehicle everyday and I have a passenger present at all times. I do not want to get in an accident and have my passengers in danger for a faulty weight sensor. I need to find a fix for this recall as soon as possible.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? THE SRS LIGHT IS GOING OFF AND READING "SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER". How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? THE AIRBAGS ON MY PASSENGER SEAT Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? YES, THERE IS A RECALL ON THE EXACT ISSUE, BUT THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? IT WAS INSPECTED BY HONDA OF LINCOLN. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? YES. JANUARY 28, 2025, I GOT IN MY CAR AND THE SRS LIGHT WAS GOING OFF. …
I received A Safety Recall Notice in regards to replacing my seat weight sensor circuit board. I tried to contact Yonkers Honda Service Department on [redacted] and they refused to set me an appointment to fix this safety issue. They stated they do not do recalls at that Yonkers Honda Service location.
Passenger air bag sensors are faulty. The passenger air bag "off" warning light stays on even when the seat is empty which indicates that the passenger air bag system is compromised. The vehicle is available for inspection.
Front driver and passenger seats squeaks since day 1, and I bought it brand new. Secondly the driver door won't unlock from the outside so I would have to go through the passenger door to open driver door lock . It feels like the door lock on driver door is stuck and the dealership won't fix it and I'm well under warranty. When I'm driving at night there's a light that flickers underneath the steering wheel it blinks the whole time and I've looked it up and haven't found a reason why it should or should not be blinking.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that he noticed that the driver's side seat failed to adjust as needed with an abnormal clicking. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact made a local dealer aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The contact referenced the failure to TSB 17047 (Clicking from the Driver Power Seat While Using the Height or Tilt Adjustment); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 51,000.
