I have a 2000 Honda Accord coupe v6 the window latches and driver's side door have completely locked up again this is the second time I've paid out of my pocket 500$ for a door that should have been recalled years ago considering all the videos I have seen of this exact same problem with this exact same years and models I'm serious about considering a class action suit against Honda for ignoring this issue and now yet again the driver side door has locked up again this needs to be recalled there's thousands of cars same year same problem and you have done nothing to right this wrong also the frame bracket of the seat is unstable

Seat welding like other people have listed did not hold up. I was driving on the highway when I heard a noise and my seat fell back. I almost crashed when I was able to grab the top handle near the drivers side window and pull myself back up in order to maintain control of my vehicle. Clearly this is not an issue that is a freak accident. The parts clearly have not been welded properly and it is amazing that no one has been hurt by this. Honda should offer to fix every one of these seats. The fact that a drivers seat weld could fail in the mist of just sitting and driving your car is scary.

After going over a small sharp speed bump in a parking lot the left front drivers seat "l" bracket broke, allowing the seat to tilt back and forth and the SRS light to came on. A Honda dealer told me , it needed to be replaced or possibly welded. Costs ranged ($300-$400) for welding or new seat bracket ($1300 - $1500).

At 84,366 miles my car's check engine light came on. Took Accord to mechanic and was told the EGR valve error code appeared. The mechanic said to take to Honda due to recall for this part. Picked car up from mechanic and car also had SRS light on. Researched online since I already have recall for dash light. Found many other Honda owners with same SRS light. Found out my air bags will not function if sensor illuminated. Also, called Honda and they said I was beyond the mileage (80K) for the extended warranty on the defective EGR valve replacement. Asked what Honda was doing about the front airbags and was told no decision has been made. I have also discovered my car has the extended warranty for defective/faulty transmission. So when I'm driving down the highway my tranmsmission May give out at high rate of speed and if collsion occurs, my air bags will not deploy. …

The service manager for concord Honda in 2007 recommended that I fix a broken weld on the driver seat frame by having it re-welded to fix the problem. I had asked the service manager to take it to Honda of America to have the seat replaced even thought it was past the warranty period because the weld should not have failed within a six year time period. The weld on the seat has broken again and the current service manager said they will not stand behind the repair both because the warranty has passed for a repair, but also he would not repair the seat because the original service manager should not have re-welded the frame as it would not be safe to do so. I called Honda of America to talk to them this time and was told that they might have addressed the problem in the 2006/2007 time frame, but that the car was now to old now for them to address the problem. …

When I first purchased my vehicle, a 2000 Honda Accord coupe ex v6, the passenger seat will not lock into place after moving the seat forward so that rear passengers can enter or exit the vehicle, therefore posing an extreme safety hazard to front passenger occupants. I have told my dealership, ed voyles Honda (miki mullinax is my service advisor) about this since I first purchased the vehicle and I was told that this is "just normal". I don't understand how a condition that is potentially so dangerous can be "just normal". Also, my SRS indicator has come on for no particular reason and I explained this to my dealership, after looking at the technical service bulletin on this website, and they were going to have me pay a diagnostic fee to see if this was true or not. …

The back of driver's side front seat fell off approximately 1 year ago. A bolt was tightened and the seat seemed OK, but then became loose. Car was at dealer for regular servicing a few months ago and was told this was normal. Last week seat back became very loose and when car was in for regular service I asked them to look at it and was told bracket would have to be replaced at cost of approximately $800. After much protest, dealer claimed they needed to contact the manufacturer. Later that day they agreed to replace at no cost as "good will" gesture and scheduled repair for next day. After doing some research, I found out that this is a known problem on both the Accord and civic and there is a NHTSA pending. Ref action # pe02072. I also own a Saturn and it was recalled for a similar seat bracket problem . Honda should be required to correct this problem with a recall.

Tl contact owns a 2000 Honda Accord. While driving at an unknown speed, the weld in the front driver's seat fractured, which caused the seat to move excessively without warning. The risk of a serious crash or injury was increased. The contact took the vehicle to a certified welder, who welded the seat to its proper position. Months later, the failure recurred. She took the vehicle back to the dealer and was informed that she would have to purchase a new seat assembly at the cost of $800. The vehicle has not been repaired. The manufacturer did not assist. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 83,000 and current mileage was 90,000.
